2nd v 4th on the ladder but i think the ability of both teams are a bit further apart than that, the bays by 5 or 6 goals for me
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

the legs are on the move, won 2 in a row

i think they have played alright against us at night in recent times from memory

i know they beat us last year in what was the turning point. And i think they beat us the year before when we held a handy lead in the 2nd 1/4...

Yep....the sleeping giant is stretching and ready to feed again next week.
Just shows what a bit of confidence and spirit can do.
Only Norwood people will appreciate just how good our list is but it was always going to take time for it to gell ! Maybe Timmy is the gell that fits it together ?
Still a long way to go but good signs.
I rate Glenelg the best team in the comp at the moment so a big big test next friday.

If its a windy swirly damp evening Norwood have a chance
They may not have Glenelgs skill level but if its hard and tough the legs might win
Norwood have a good record in these conditions vrs Glenelg in recent times

I certainly won't be underestimating the Redlegs this week...they are a dangerous side at home on Friday nights.

If the game was on Satdee or Sundee arvo at the Bay Oval, I'd almost be bold enough to pencil in the win now...mighty tiger is spot on...Norwood at night has had some good wins against us in recent times...

obviously you haven't seen glenelg in their wins over sturt & central, they were harder & tougher than those two & our height up forward will be a huge problem for a sMALlish norwood defence

i hope no norwood player has the 'flu so we can beat them at full strength

Tomorrow night is a real danger game for us, we are playing a side that will have a bit of confidence after two wins and will be confident on their home deck. We can't afford to take them lightly as they will be up and about. Being in the unfamiliar position (for us recently) of 6-1 (edited) we are starting to become the hunted at the moment intstead of the hunters, which puts different pressure on our blokes.

Norwood will be keen to show that their form improvement is real so they will have a point to prove that I'm sure our boys will be aware of. Confident that our lesser lights will be able to step up to the plate again which has been the key to our success this year.

On form and ladder position we should win and I'm confident but this will be a good game closer than the odds suggest.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

A bit early for that talk I would think. Centrals are the hunted after playing in the last 8 GF and winning 6. Glenelgs 7 wins this year and 1 loss is a great start , but 1 finals win in 15 years and your excellent start to the year doesn't mean your'e the hunted. Very settled line up at the moment , it will be interesting to see what happens with a few injuries or drop in form.

I'm heartened to see that both Glenelg supporters and non-Glenelg supporters alike think that the Bays will have a 7-1 start to the season!

Agreed Oct, Centrals are still the benchmark .

I'm not suggesting we are there yet, hence why I used the words "starting" and "unfamiliar" as I'm only too well aware of our recent history. The fact that we are now 6-1, a position which we haven't been in since 1990, it is a new challenge for our club.

The point I am making is that because we are near the top of the table teams will start using that as motivation when playing agaisnt us. Face it, teams subconsciously apply themselves more playing a top team rather than a bottom they know they should win.

Do you reckon think the Norwood footy club isn't thinking (amongst what they need to do themselves), lets put these so and so's back in their place???

Too early for that Tassie. However, the players do have a growing level of self confidence and belief after winning their last two games and particularly after beating North away. They won that game without Gags and Trotter who are both named in Saturday's squad.
