Great to see a number of players back in league action after long term injuries - Petrenko, Colville, Hentschel, Rimington and Hicks have all spent time on the sidelines, so fitness may be an issue?

Eagles changes forced on them by juniors being picked in the state under 18 team .So we lose Juniors to be replaced by players with lots of experience as well as juniors with pace .
Still I think its going to be close.

Will that many changes unsettle an already unsettled team even more ???
I guess the Eagles have a few changes themselves so the 2 may just counter each other out and the team that gells best on the day will probably end up with the 2 points. Reckon it will be a pretty good game to watch, might head down for a look myself.
In a tight contest, I'll tip North to rebound by 5 points...

Coleville on a wing ?
PETRENKO in a BP ?
Salter at HB ?
Pretty sure Ron and the guys are playing mind games with jars .

Salter is a good key forward too, but I hope all these forwards aren't going to make the side top heavy.
I really can not see Salter down back and Macgregor up forward .Kenny has been playing down back since his return.Aerie wrote:7 changes to North, 6 to the Eagles. Excellent to see Colville back in there. Aerie, I would think that each of those players has spent a fair amount of time in total at the Reserves, so at least they are not rushed back into the side, which would be cause for concern over fitness.
I like how this year the guys are coming back through the two's and earning their spots .mickyj wrote:Since coming back from in jury cica has not looked himself IMHO.

Cica has spent most of his time in the forward pocket; it may have been just to get some fitness back, while using his skills in the forward line - bit like the resting ruckman thing.
Yes and I am sure he has looked very unsure up there at stages.I do think back to that finals game he carved sturt up but he has not done that this year
And one thing that gives me the shites is this State U/18s thing. They go missing playing meaningless trial matches - do you ever see the League state squad players do this? If anyone said that trial matches for these players is more beneficial, well I'd say that playing against more senior players is better.

Possibly; Colville has done well in a tagging role over the last couple of years, while winning the ball himself quite a bit. I suppose you have to list him somewhere on the sheet if that's what his job is going to be.

That's an understatement. Anyone who predicts us to win by a comfortable margin is only looking at North's current form as a guide.

Hmm we are short of tall defenders at Glenelg, if North don't want him, we'll talk to him...

Have you seen our side??? Not even the most optimistic North fan (coach excluded but I'm not sure who he is following these days!) thinks we will win this week but stranger things have happened. It's hard to settle a side when you make 7 changes added to the other weeks where we seem to make 3 or 4 due to injuries although we kept the same side that flogged South and that didn't work against the Bays.
Seriously I'm so confused!!!

You would want to get in quick as there is another SANFL club already making some waves about getting him and before the June 30th cut off.
