this is a side that we have to have a good win against, need to beat port when they are down with injuries and possibly suspension (waterhouse)

Nup TV, the wrong ABC for you JAmes...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I take it everyone has seen the weather forecast for the weekend?

We would want to hope our boys get over their phobia of water that falls from the clouds this Saturday or a seemingly 'pencilled in' victory over a depleted Magpies may turn into a bit of an 'upset' loss and three weeks to think about it.

Come on the Blues!!

Sounds like Michael Wilson may be an IN for the Magpies as the Power are unchanged.

This will be an extremely emotional game for me.

I went to the 1968 GF as a young 10yo with my late dad. We won and I think it was Geof Motley's last game for Port. It's the first time we've played Port since dad's death. Dad is the reason I support the Double Blues today. Thank you. :D :D

The weather will bring the two teams closer. Expect Wilson to play which gives Port a huge lift. The last time Port played Sturt in wet conditions at HBO, was Phil Carman's last as Coach of the SFC. We were humiliated :( :(

Sturt will win because we are a tough, well-drilled, professional team.

Sturt by 33 points. Chambo to kick 7.

Go U Blues! :D :D

which is

J.Clayton .. Hargraves .. Thurgood
Summerton .. AhChee .. Rugolo
C.Carr .. Murray .. Lees
King .. Perry .. Looby
Perkins .. Lokan .. Dolling
Meiklejohn .. Elstone .. Depasquale
I / C: M.Wilson .. Hall .. Clinch
out = Eichner, Kirkwood, Krakouer (all injured); Waterhouse (suspended), Maric (Crows-listed), Biasci (omitted)
But yes, it was a pretty pointless comment wasn't it?!

Plenty of changes for the Magpies:

IN: Rugolo, Thurgood, Clinch, Wilson, Hall, C Carr

OUT: Eichner, Kirkwood, Krakouer, Waterhouse, Biacsi, Maric

Kerren Hall and Casey Carr playing their debut games. Two players from the WC Academy and both huge talents.

Hall is a 19yo 192cm 96kg KPP. Plays predominantly at Full Back but can play at CHF and was BOG last week in the Ruck as well. Great contested mark, loads of courage, plenty of run and rebound, good skills. Quite similar to an AhChee except a bit quicker. Has a big future.

Casey Carr is a 19yo 185cm 84kg wing/flanker. Huge pace, runs the lines, big kick, skillful, plenty of courage as well. Played State U18s last year and was talked about as a draftee for a long time...might be considered again this year if he plays some good games at league level.

Well done boys and hope you play well!

Hmm I don't think so - he was North coach in from 1967 - 1969.

Hi everyone,

Sturt v Port on Saturday is not being broadcast on Radio.

For those who cant get to the game LIFE FM will be doing as many regular score updates as humanly possible.

We hope to update scores every few minutes during the quarters courtesy of the SANFL scoreboard and a wireless internet link to a lap top with the commentary team at the West v Central game.

If the SANFL site works we hope to update scores 8 to 10 times each quarter.

Also, Damian Woodards will be live at the ground providing regular updates pre-game, quarter time, half time, three quarter time and post game.

You can find Life FM on 107.9 or http://www.life.on.net

The other note about Carr and Hall debuting is its the 5th and 6th players whove played in one of the U19 back to back flags from 06-07 this year.
