nairnes last senior premiership was the b grade in the river murray football league in 1994???
not good at all... but we are improving.

Their A grade should have done a lot better that year in the RMFL that year too. If my memory serves me, they had Ben Judd, Rick Hannam, Tony Fielke, David Milsom, and Troy Deron in their side that year, yet i think only finished around 4th.

Did I just read in the Advertiser that Troy Gray will be making his debut for Torrens Valley at Ram Park tomorrow. Is there no end to the Lions imports?

Thought he was going to be playing against us a few weeks back as he was in deep discussion with Hughes on the boundary line before the game.

very interesting. very good young player.
maybe odb can expand on this!
any idea where he has gone to?

thought aaron had knee surgery in off season & thats why hes not playing could be wrong.

In response to this old one, no he did not leave the club.
During the preseason he went on a bit of a camping trip and one of his pissed mates fell on his leg while he was asleep and it did damage to the ligament in his knee and since he was goint to be out for about 6 months anyway, he's decided to spend the rest of the year in North Queensland.

Kangy destroyed meadows 15 goals there abouts. wakefield ran a clinic and thorpe carved up dawe in his 150th. that guy is dirt against good competition.

turned out a clinic in the end, Meadows lost 5 players to serious injury including a possible spinal injury, hope the best for that player ( ambulance to RAH )

Is that a statement or a quote?? - Meadows had every chance to beat TV in the prelim last year. Didn't want it badly enough thus giving them passage to the GF and a Premiership!
Take away Hughes' $$$ and it becomes a 2 horse race this year - with mild opposition from Echunga. Who knows what will happen when the $$$ dries up but for now he's keeping the comp alive and well - it wont last forever. Doesn't it just make everyone else work that bit harder???

dont know if we saw the same game but kangarillas intensity throught out the game was there best this year, meadows didnt even look like they wanted the pill. No comment on Dawe???? Having trent thorpe back has lifted the team and more big names returning in the next 3-4 weeks. aparently they had a whole nother 22 players out, which is made up of about 9 A graders and B grade premiership players from 07.

have seen Kangy 3 times this year now and no doubt they were up for this game, Meadows although strong on paper have too many playing on reputation which is fast dwindling.
Kangy were pushing up near max points on Sat so they couldn't fit in too many more.
Justin Mahomet played a good game running off half back

Looks like the Big 3 will be Kangarilla, TV and Kersbrook, with Echunga to take on either Meadows or Nairne in the Elimination Final. As at the same time last year, Kersbrook are off to a good start and hopefully this season, they can go on with it. The loss of Brad Green has not been felt, with the emergence of Rob Nicholson in Ruck for the Brookers. If only he was around last year :(
