However, really, if Glenelg had not won today then I wonder when they ever would have beaten Central. I think most of us would have expected Glenelg to have won by a lot more than that. Full credit to Central for getting so close.
Cheers

Westhoff? how many games has he played to be so important?

You don't necessarily have to have played many games to be important. Ask the Port Power recruiting staff why they recruited him. He would have been a very handy tall for us yesterday to combat your plethora of talls.
P.S. How many SANFL games has Todd Grima played to be important?

True, Jardog. We must be a 92 point better side than we were at this time in 2006. In approximately the same round, the Bays beat us by 95 points. Just who out of those sides made the GF at the end of the year?

Wasn`t having a go at you BP but whenever you go to places like Glenelg, their supporters dont half get stuck into the Elizabeth area our players and the abuse you cop for no reason at all is terrible.Yeh I know we have bad supporters aswell but it aint all one way and the feeling you get is that we aint respected as a footy club at all.

An amusing thread this one but comments like other supporters don't respect your side is just showing how arrogant SOME of you Dogs supporters are. Remember there was time not that long ago your team hardly made the finals let alone winning a minor final - back when the SANFL was alot stronger than it is now.

I have not ever read anyone posting that they don't respect Centrals and what they have achieved in the "Post Crows formation era". Please feel to correct me if I'm wrong and quote the supporting evidence. As for respecting SOME of their supporters - it's comments like yours that piss other supporters off.

I never said Todd Grima was important, but having said that....He had a very good reputation before he came to us.....thats why centrals were disapointed they didnt get him, but Westhoff, weather he got drafted or not has not really played for you alot to be relied on.

PS.....I'm not saying Westhoff wont be a good player.

Cheers

Todd Grima IS important, played FF for the mighty Geelong VFL premiership side last year which was probably the strongest team outside the AFL. Pretty good effort with players like Playfair, Ablett and Hawkins floating in and out the side.

Iknow wedgie but he was comparing Westhoff, who really is a rookie, to a ready made player.

Cant we all just get along? 8)

I know one thing which keeps dogs fans and bays fans in harmony:

Image

I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Bays had a great first half, initially denying the dogs scoring with the breeze and then using it well in the second stanza. Was very worried in the 3rd quarter as the dogs started smashing us around the packs. An excellent performance by the bays in the last however to get back the lead and hold on. Should have iced the game but blew a number of running shots at goal which nearly proved very costly. Later in the season those chances MUST be taken.

Centrals- will definitely improve. I reakon you guys look 10x more potent with Schell up forward. Purely an observation from yesterday.

My Bays- Can still improve on skills and ball use, but work rate and support is fantastic.

Looking forward to the game v roosters, If we can win that we would have beaten all other finalists from last year.

Go Bays!

I think while Cowan is out of form, I agree with your statement regarding Schell. But when the forward line can function without him, he is our best CHB by a long shot and must play there, only occasionally pinch hitting in the forward line.

Agreed smac.

The doggies are at their best when we have a tall forward (like Cowan) grabbing marks and keeping the ball in the area for the smalls to tidy up and kick goals leaving Schell to dominate at CHB. It wasn't happening on Sunday as the Bays defence was on top for most of the game. An inspired move by Roy but one forced due to the situation and not one I would like to see regularly.

And to the dogs supporters who have to get abusive to other posters - pull your head in - everyone is entitled to their opinion.
We used to be good :-(

i certainly have a great deal of respect for the doggies

in fact i still think they are the team to beat for the flag this year

as you have mentioned losing in MAY isnt a major concern, i mean you blokes let North beat you late last year, and then never lost another game for the season.

All clubs have bad supporters , full stop. All sides get stuck into other sides about where their side is based, full stop. Of course people repect Centrals how can they not , what would you like us to do, sing it from the rooftops ? Gee if I was a Centrals supporter I would be very very happy right now. Flag favourites IMO. Centrals had some very good players out and the Bays were near fullstrength I reckon. I think the Bays have brought their best game in the last 2 weeks. I hope I am wrong cos it would be good to see them right amongst it , it has been a very long time.
