I agree about Treebs, not quite sure how he wasn't AT LEAST in the initial squad ???

Yes, AFL rookies are eligable, obviously, I think I mentioned that on the state squad thoughts and opinions thread...

Salter is a surprise to me. Agreed with Treeby should be in the squad. What about Passador always gets overlooked for state sides coached by D.Hart :? :? Has to be one of the best forwards going around in the comp it confuses the hell out of me how he doesn't even make the squad.

I'm guessing Travis Lane would be one of them.

And probably Broadbent. They will be missing for about 5 weeks, thanks to the many trial matches those players play. Fairclough went through that last year.

There's probably a couple from the 17s that made the u18 state squad.

It is great to have these replica match worn guernseys up for sale on ebay. Hopefully I will have enough cash to win one. It would be great if the club released some replicas that fans could buy that weren't signed that everyone could buy. I grew up watching west torrens wear the guernsey they wore today and would love to get hold of one. It would be great if the club just sold replicas at a fixed price so everyone could secure one. They might find they would make more money if they sold them at $80 a pop for unsigned and then sold the match worn guernseys on ebay!

Exactly, how does Pierre (Sarge) get in the side? coz he's ex AFL, from the Crows.
Passador has been terrific & consistant for the Eags, consistant form is what gets you selection & a game yet they overlook him.

Well I hope the selectors watched Sarge unable to bend and pick a ball up on Saturday .

For the Auction type in 'West Torrens Heritage' on eBay and will take you to the jumper auction.

All started at just $60 and most still at $60 - a couple up to $100 but there will be bargains - check it out - most close early next week.

Fantastic win for the club yesterday at Thebby - a wonderful effort by the boys given the start they gave to the Blues.

If you havent renewed your membership then the boys gave you the message - get on board - be a member!

Why did Sturt not continue with the free running game that had them 5 goals up? I believe our pressure and mental strength got us through and now the boys know never count us out as we can and will come back - a great win although still concerned about the slow start.

Big Big test coming up on Saturday night - Eagles fans there is a test here too - do you stay home to watch the AFL exibition match or do you get to the footy at Elizabeth and support the boys? I know where I'll be - Woodville Oval at 11:00am for the Reserves then Elizabeth Oval at 6:30pm for the game against the Dogs.

See You There

Next saturday for us

At Woodville Oval:
9:00am U17
11:15am Reserves
2:00pm U19

At Hamra Homes:
6:30pm League.

Prior to the league game will be a legends game.
The curtain raiser at Hamra Homes Oval is a Barossa & Light League game - CDFC supporting their zone league plus a way to bring extra supporters to the game. Thus the 2 clubs worked together and moved the Reserves to Woodville.

So the Under 17s game will be shorter eh? Less time for a % boost.

A further consideration the 2 clubs looked at was for the support staff rather than the WWTFC folk having to be at Hamra by 9:30am for set up then get out for the Barossa & Light boys and wait around for 4 hours til the league.

Likewise for the Cental folk down to Woodville then have the travelling time back to Elizabeth and time to set up for the league game.

Central get the earlier travel and WWTFC get the late travel back to Woodville with all our gear after the league game.

Both clubs believe is worth a try with the zone league and hopefully bringing people to the game plus eagles fans wouldnt have to be at Elizabeth at 11:15 for the Reserves and then wait around til 6:30 for the league.

Spelly, I may have Reserves time wrong may be later more like 11:45

Then the 19s would have to be at 2:30 then. Or the 17s at 8:30 and the Reserves at 11:15.
