Gee of that happens the phrase "inappropriate result" comes to mind for a poster on this site....

Also IF and I do mean IF becuase I highly doubt the NO-MERCYs prediction will eventuate, can one of the DB.org posters on this site ask Sturt1 to change his signature "Will Mickan last the season" to "Will McGowan last the season"....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

They don't look so good now.

if you keep a game against sturt to a contest (in all aspects of the word) all day & don't give them space to 'run riot' & play 'pretty football' they are very beatable, i believe the eagles did this today (told to me by sturt mates) & that's what glenelg did last week

as for next week god help west adelaide as i can see a big blowout next week from an angry sturt & sturtpeter

Well that is an interesting statement from a betting man Bayman. The style of footy westies play(I hate it)was first designed to counter the type of game that Sturt play.

On the Sarge he looked real good when he kicked the late 2 goals for Sturt. But in the Early part of the game he still looked slow didn't hold his marks and couldn't get the ball below his knees .He made Kenny Mac (who at times had think music playing when he was deciding what to do) look fast.
Lets face facts if the Sarge was any good and left North, WWT would have recruited him like Groecke and Mcentee .

I am sorry sturtpeter you can not complain about yesterday's umpires. With the exception of the 25 metre penalties after taking a mark they did vary .The rest of the frees were paid to the player getting to the ball first. So Sturt had the run of the frees for the first 20 minutes. The frees dried up for sturt when sturt players stopped getting to the ball first.
End of story .
Eagles got to the ball first they got frees.
The only times frees were not paid umpires standing with hand shielding their eyes looking into the sun.So many frees missed by this bad placement of umpire ,frees to both teams.

In answer to the topic after yesterdays game no they are not the real deal .

from what was seen yesterday i would say there is a bit of work to be done before September if they really want to have a crack at the flag. As they say a week is a long time in footy. Think we can get some for back in the next 2 weeks.

Buddies!

I was at Thebarton yesterday.

Were you?

If you were you'd have seen the most inappropriate performance Umpiring wise in the great history of the SANFL.

WWT were hand-served 4 goals out of 8 in the second stanza.

Sturt were disheartened, disallusioned and beyond return in the 3rd. Stanza. To Our Credit we showed the passionate SANFL Community we can defy unfair, biased, home-town based decisions.

We need a total review of RW.

Thanks!

Sturt are still worthy Premiership favourites.

We have the most potent forward set up and by far the most well-drilled defencive back line.

We eagerly await James Plant's timely return.

Since when has Sturt not been a team from Adelaide???????
By the way, my mail says that Sturt had an armchair ride from the umpires in the first quarter. Please remind me how many goals Sturt got from free kicks in the first fifteen minutes.

Chris!

The budgies were given the game on a platter in the 2nd. Stanza.

I thought their undisciplined, Eagle like play in the 1st. 22 minutes led to the 32 point margin.

Mates stick together through the tough, hard, times.

Sturt is a Family.

Pete, good to see you on here again too, my friend.
Perhaps, just like you say that the Eagles gave away frees in the first quarter, perhaps Sturt did in the second?
I personally believe that every umpire goes out there to give their best and does not deliberately make wrong calls. There may be two sides to the story re the frees given against Sturt?
