Well, to be honest, i can not see any beating GEELONG this year, to come back from that + players out, is unbelievable!

Really? I thought that if nothing else the very ordinary Dockers just proved that the Cats are not unbeatable. I think that this game may take away the aura surrounding Geelong and make sides believe they can actually knock them off. Lets face it if the Dockers can get within a point then anyone can (except Melbourne).

I saw it the other way Rod, a Geelong side not quite switched on able to bring back a few deficits, and win the game...

But at the end of the day, Freo = season over...

Geelong are the best IMO. Geelong have been winning for the last 2 years and haven't been troubled and i can not see anyone beating them any time soon.

Hawthorn is the team that seems to come to everyones mind but they have only been performing for 5 weeks. Can they sustain it like Geelong have?

I guess we will have to wait for the game between these two clubs!

Fremantle isn't that bad, they took it right up to Adelaide and Geelong and both those teams are sitting pretty in the 8!

I've read that there could be a bit of controversy from this match (Freo/Geelong) regarding the sounding of the siren at the end of the game. Will be interesting what happens re this, this week.

LOL. The Geelong player marked it and he was bound to soak the clock!

I didn't see what happened myself, but from what i read there was some type of mis communication between the umpires and time keepers.

I'll agree that Geelong wasn't at their best but they still showed a lot of weaknesses when the Dockers really pressured them. If the Cats play like that against a good side they'll get done. The Dockers were able to really run and attack the footy tonight but couldn't do it for 4 full quarters. All in all though the Cats will still be very tough to beat and this will only serve as a wake up call.

The problem was that Fremantle had a free kick for Out on the Full. The player kicked the ball from the wrong spot with 16 seconds left. As the ball came back to the player to kick over the mark the clock continued to run and was down to seven seconds by the time the ball was in play.
It didnt matter as the kick was marked by a Geelong player...if it had not and the ball was on the ground in a contest it may well have mattered.

If anything, I think this game showed that Geelong will not go through undefeated. This was the first match this season where a team played out of their skins because they were up for the reigning premier but it won't be the last. Last night's performance by the Cats was the worst for the season. Fremantle applied excellent pressure and caused us to miss targets, stuff around the with the ball and be indecisive in our ball movement.

This was one game when we really missed Matty Egan (who could be out all year) and Brad Ottens who has been 'a week away' for about six weeks now. Sandilands and Pavlich thrashed us. We'll take the win, but I make that about 5 and a half quarters of poor football in the last three games. Still, you can't knock 6-0 but we were more than a bit lucky to win that.

regards,

REB

The Cats weren't at their best and the Dockers were pretty much at their 'peak' yet the Cats still won! Cats wont go through undefeated but Im sure will win the flag!

Cats keep winning their 2nd halves, which is a sign of quality
