Re: SAAFL Div 3 2008
I've heard that we will be having triple headers against every club except Walkerville, Salisbury West and Woody South. Is the same for most clubs?
Nah FC, I guarantee we won't be. A lot of different personnel to waht we had last week, including most of our height coming back in.

And I know Payneham and Walkerville people don't get along all that well...

Like Salisbury will lsoe with Pag running amok from half back
....Well until they play Flinders park and Massive kicks 12.
Flinder's wouldn't lose too many games this year from what I hear.
Sounds like Eastern park may be the big movers and Walkerville the Big Sliders.
Para Hills
Salisbury
Flinders
Eastern Park unless Rolfe is playing in which case Iggies
Kilburn

Good to see the Hills still dominating that old rivalry! Now if they can get a little payback on Salisbury...
If i'm not playing football then i'm probably watching it, otherwise i'm at least thinking about it!

Nice try Hi Ho. Calabrese looked fit as a fiddle in last weeks trial. Nothing like a little foxing just before round one...

Iggies A grade looked handy in last weeks trial. Frinsdorf is a very handy player, Calabrese easily won the rucks. Probably only thing worrying is their depth. S/Heart did have 5 or 6 A graders in their 2s like Koster etc but not a lot in Iggies 2s of A grade quality.

Unfortunately seems to be their downfall each year. A solid side but a couple of injuries and Iggies fall into a heap because they have no back up.

Re: SAAFL Div 3 2008
Round 1 Tips
St Peter's OC v Kilburn - Will be too strong for a rebuilding SPOC
Walkerville v Salisbury - Walkies should win despite their indifferent pre-season form.
Flinders Park v Salisbury West - Salisbury West to have 15 players sent off for behind the play incidents.
Para Hills v Woodville South - Woody South will be too strong. The dark horse of A3 this season.
Old Ignatians v Eastern Park - Iggies just at home. Hope they watch out for Donnelly the sniper.

Re: SAAFL Div 3 2008
In the 1990's Iggies had one of the best B grade sides going round. They won B grade premierships every year from 1994 to 1998, and lost about 7 games in total in those 5 years. They had a mixture of wily veterans and good youth, and 2 separate 100 goal full forwards.
Since that time, depth has definitely been an issue however. It explains why they have always been around Div 3, and have had no premiership success in that time.

Doesn't mind the biffo?
Biffo suggests enjoying a fight.
Sniper suggests hitting and running.

There's one thing that is certain, he would not be able to hit & run. The last time I saw him he was puffing just getting out of his car, carrying a bit of condition, ol' Donnas
