The TAJ appears doomed

Postby locky801 » Thu Mar 27, 2008 5:22 pm

Just been dropped on the Roost that the famous TAJ at the southern end of the Prospect Oval will not be operating this season, of course this is the hangout of some of the most legend supporters that the NAFC has ever had ( the grog squad) and of course leads to lots of banter and great mateship with other supporters not only of the NAFC but of all visiting clubs. If this is the case, yet another sad day is upon us

No, I am sure Wedgie won't mind if I post what has been posted on the Roost

Oval Beverage Sales

* Cans shall be available from one point of sale, West End Van - positioned at the southern end of the main grandstand
* Cans and take off beers in disposable cups will also be available from the Function Room and Legends Bar.

So we all move to the grandstand area, least our ranting and cheering and raving and our great use of the Australian Language can now echo everywhere

You garnered all of that out of

I assume you've rang the club's CEO and got the full story then?

Call me stupid and hit me over the head with a can of West End but I plan to rock up to the ground on Saturday, see with my very own eyes what exactly has happened and then if I deem appropriate will advise people in charge of my distaste in the move.

got it in one  why would I ring the CEO, he won't say anything anyway i am just pointing out what is happening and my disapproval of what I have heard and have been told, i thought forums were something to do with freedom of speech and opinions as long as you dont go over the top, perhaps I was wrong :( but Saturday will reveal all I am sure. Cant wait for a North/Port game there on a warm Saturday afternoon with one outside outlet for beer, that will be fun

At least at the Bay you'll be able to drink out of the "new" Snouts facility on the Hill....

You just won't be able to pee anywhere !! (Yes they are coming  )
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

Who told you it was only light beer and no spirits? My mail is that it is the same selection as always just instead of out the Taj it is 20 feet away to the van - no big deal full stop. As much as I like the Taj it is limited and it is falling down so change was inevitable. At least they are selling Grog outside and not what was rumoured before Xmas - plastic cups and served only from inside. That would have been a pain in the arse.
