New Clubrooms at Norwood Oval?

Can any of you Redleg diehards shed any light on the rumour that the old RSL club at the north western corner of Norwood Oval is going to be bulldozed to make way for a new clubroom and administration facility? Apparently NFC will also acquire a couple of blocks of land behind the RSL for the redevelopment. But wait for it, the new clubrooms will only have room for about 100 punters!.....there’s gonna be bit of a queue at the bar if a few too many of the 1543 current members want a celebratory drink after a match …We all realise that the days of having clubrooms the size of the old Redlegs Club in Woods St are gone, but surely if you’re going to spend all the time, effort and expense to build a new complex, get it right, and at least make it big enough to accommodate a reasonable number of members.
