Having known the Weatherald family since Tim was about 5, and then later worked with Tim in a cricket capacity for a few seasons, I just want to say congratulations to one of the genuine nice guys in football on a wonderful career.

I admire a person who squeezes every ounce out of themself to achieve as much as they can, and Tim is one such person. To say he is the worst Magarey Medallist of all time is rather silly and only serves to detract from what he has done for the Sturt Football Club.

As a final word from me on this topic, congratulations to Tim, what a great footy career, well done.
It's one thing to have a bit of fun about someone but to bag a bloke, take the piss and fabricate stories about him when he's given so much to our comp is lacking in character and judgement, when the guy states his case in the media for all to see and the same people go meekly quiet is plainly pathetic.

Good point, but,in what he said in the Advertiser interview, did it do anything to dispel any of the comments made by people in this thread?(re 'dummy spit')

No dummy spit. Tim graciously accepted the fact he wasn't currently in Rick's equation.

All the best!

if tim is desperate to still play league footy (just summising he would be seeing he did all the training etc) why wouldn't a club like west, norwood, south or even wwt & port talk to him ? if this happened a few years ago when the bays were struggling (meaning a 32 yo or similar tim in 2004/2005) i'd want my club to at least talk to him
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Why wouldn't they?
Because he's finished.
