So your efforts are worth more or less now, given that someone may drive through your lounge room window and wipe you out?

Note - not devaluing anyones experiences, just trying to validate them in some way.

All the best.

Bit harsh mate, I always thought Greg Whittlesea had that title comfortably.

Tried to dictate to the coach where he'd play and Rick wouldn't put up with that and rightfully so.

Whittlesea had a great season in 88, but really did very comparatively little over the rest of his career.

I dont think anyones having a crack at him for his endeavour etc, its just that ability wise he was certainly no star and definately in no position to try and dictate terms to Rick.

Never has been nor will be a bad Magarey Medallist (whether they were the best player for a particular season will often be in doubt) but you have to be a certain class of player to win one.

Personally I think he was past it and won't be any loss to the young Blues, but congrats on a great career all the same.

Actually there are three threads running on this board right now where people are doing exactly that G.

I think Locky's made a good point, and brings a bit of balance to the discussion.

Ill back Whittlesea he could atleast kick the ball over 35 metres.

JarMan, without meeting you personally are you just following other punters on this forum? Were you one of the Dogs that left early in the '02 GF with a 'thinskin' condition? I'll give you ONE example of Tim kicking over 50m, something everyone can see for themselves so they can see what rubbish you talk. 2002 GF, 40-50 out on the SE boundry after stunning one of your twits that day holding the ball, kicks a goal.
MATE, watch it but if you don't have the guts to take the nonsense you're talking back on this site.
And now we're imploding?
Generally this is just another cheap shot by a few people who forward cheap comments. JarMan, Wedgie and Bayman, you should all have a look at yourselves and just what you're trying to achieve with this, you talk about a player as though he's played 50 games instead of 250+, get real, get a life and get some perspective.

Will Weatherald still have a role with the club, his experience could surely help the development of the player(s) that are replacing him.

Did this have anything to do with the Article in the this weeks Courier where Tim admitted his "killer instinct" was no longer there?

I'm not sure about the comments suggesting he 'had to prove himself' gain,or 'start his career again' being very accurate.

Surely he has nothing to prove to anyone at the Sturt FC,and he can never 'start his career' over again, but what he can do is prove that growing older in a young mans game can cause you to be surplus to requirements. In this case all that is left for him to do is show just how much of a 'CLUB' man he is......I hope more comes to light as it appears the club does not come first for him.*
Many players over the years would have been dissapointed with the decision a coach/club made to not see them as a first pick player. How you react to it and then respond is very important.

Crikey, the insults are flying tonight with my only sin being to compliment Tim Weatherald and Rick Macgowan!

Luckily the 13,000 posts don't take into account the time I put into the behind the scenes stuff with things like the Media Guide and Footy Tipping Comp! Mind you Im not sure my posts with photos or media releases from the SANFL really should count.

I watch less TV (buggerall) than the average person if that helps me get a life. :D

Personally I think people that need to get a life are the one's who feel the need to insult others for no reason.

PS I won't even tell you that Im playing World Of Warcraft at the same time as perusing this site. Not sure what else there is to do in Adelaide at 10pm on a Sunday night on a holiday weekend though. :?
