The one thing I hate in footy is those games where deep down inside you know what the result is going to be. To see it unfolding is a horrible thing, definitely the worst feeling in football I have ever experienced (haven't been involved in a losing Grand Final). You just knew it was going to go down to the dying stages and the dogs would pinch it, heck I fully expected it before the first bounce.

We killed the game with shocking errors and missed set shots throughout the day. Stevens, Tippett, Vince all missed some golden opportunities which, if you were looking purely at the game from a player perspective, cost us the match.

As for the umpires, I get very annoyed when they cannot bounce a ball straight up in the air. If you can't bounce it, throw it up!! So many bounces cut one of the two ruckmen out of the contest, a couple bounced straight into the hands of bulldog runners which turned the game. Sure they evened up with a crow-favouring bounce that got the ball inside our 50 but the whole thing is just wrong; umpires should not be influencing games like that, it is unacceptable!! There was also the glaring Hudson tackle where he took it out of the ruck and took near enough to a year to dispose of it. Since when is that not holding the ball?!

The Crows had their chances today anyway, and there are some good signs in the youth stocks.

Guys its a football saying but football is a marathon not a sprint .
Bulldogs should not have let the crows back in after 1/4 time .Thats something that the bulldogs coaching staff will need to look at.
The Crows just didn't quite make it today but the Crows will improve .
Don't forget the bulldogs had a 300 gamer playing and the first game for two ex crows players.

Sure I am dissapointed with the loss but hell im not at all worried after todays game. Many consider the dogs a top 4 side (I dont) but the Crows were very impressive imo. Played ordinary in the 1st quater and after that came back and really challenged. Hell if you are 2 points down at 3 quater time and kick 6 in the last, 9 out of 10 times you will win the game (Today was that 1 % ).Shit happens in 6 days they can rectify that.

He had a few possessions and contributed, but I really dont think he is a key position player. I like a guy who can take a contested mark or at least bring it to the ground in the two key forward positions. I think the Crows need to look at that issue.

Just think, if the Crows had Huddo and Torney they probably would have won that game comfortably. :?

Add a few goals from Welsh, and take Shirley off Johnson, they win!

More so,if Johnson was playing in the middle, sure, give Shirley the job to stop him,but Johnson playing out of the goal square? Kicks the 'Dogs last 3 goals.Really Craigy,it is moves like that which give the critics ammo.

We beat them once in 2002. Johncock debuted and it was their team of the century night.

agree with the call on huddo wedgie but with torney u have to draw the line somewhere as the did with benny hart the year before otherwise these young guys would never get a chance ! these types of players (running half backs ) are a dime a dozen in this day and age and although he had a good year the club made the right call imo ...

huddo went missing after half time .it was minson smashing the ball forward from bad bounces that helped the bulldogs .
torney down back may have helped stem the tide
