BYE BYE TIMMY!!!!!!!!

Postby Jar Man Out » Sun Mar 23, 2008 1:03 pm

According to the sunday mail the SANFL's worst magarey medallist Tim Weatherald has retired.

Macgowan had planned to use him off the bench this season. Which was something Tim was not happy to do.

All the best.

Bit harsh mate, I always thought Greg Whittlesea had that title comfortably.

Tried to dictate to the coach where he'd play and Rick wouldn't put up with that and rightfully so.

Remember this date chaps, it's the first and last time I'll ever agree with Golden Dynasty about anything.

Fair enough, but neither would be in Michael Burford's class anyway.

As stated before Burford will be recruit of the year. Up until he signed I thought David Clarke was a lay down mazare for the award.

Think what the guy went through with the bombing in the night club, to lose mates and have that on his mind for the rest of his life, he has done remarkably well on the footy field since then

That may be a little bit of a long bow to draw locky.

I went for a jog 3 mornings each week with Josh Deegan in his role as a fitness instructor, up to the time of the bombings that took his life and it certainly isn't a crutch to lean on in the days since.

Not saying it's something to lean on, he had to make a huge recovery from what he went through and IMHO he did that and played some decent footy, many would go into their shell and just fade away, not saying since that unfortunate vent he set the footy world on fire but he came back and can hold his head up high, if anyone lese goes through something similar I say take this guy as an example, and yes perhaps it is something to lean on because something like that can again happen at any minute
