A frustating and exciting game until the Iggles steadied and opened up the lead in the last quarter. The main comment I have on the umps was how long they waited before balling it up once a scrum had developed.

That was very noticable and there was some frustration in the crowd about it.
Personally I like it that way, I'd rather them err on the side of letting things go to long instead of pulling it up early.

When you have 5 boys and one on the way, it doesn't leave much time for anything else!

It's easy to figure out what you spend your time doing

Congratulations, Bulldogpommy!

that 25m penalty paid at the end was shocking.

Your not kidding RoosterMarty....what a joke. The Bulldogs got within 4 points of stealing the game, then an absolute joke 25metre penalty steadies them.
Passador dominated up forward and we probably would have lost anyway, but if ain't an obvious free kick stick the whistle away.
Can you imagine if that stuff goes down in the Grand Final, there would be a riot.

Unfortunately thats the new rule though, i watched Port and St Kilda the other night and quite often it wasnt enforced, all i ask is they be consistent with this crappy new rule. The AFL decided to bring it in and i guess the SANFL decided to follow the AFL's lead, its pretty bloody frustrating to watch and makes the game even softer.

Passador deserved the Bob Quinn medal. He was the only player on the ground to dominate up forward. Powell, Colville, Lindsay, Cicolella and McKenzie were good. Earl, Pedler and Jarrad played their best games this season. Jarrad looked a lot more comfortable on the left wing. For the majority of the first 3 games he was played out of position on the right wing. A great attacking move by Fuller when we were only 5 points up in the last to put McKenzie in the middle. He won a couple of centre breaks and kicked a goal to seal the match. He has done well at CHB, but we need him in the middle. He is very close to being the best player in the competition at the moment.

The Eagles have salvaged their season and to go in at 2-2 is not so bad considering 7 quarters ago the Eagles were playing the worst football they have played since Fuller took over. What a great occasion it will be playing an in form Magpies at Thebbie on Sunday week. Can't wait![/quote]

Was very attacking of Fuller to start Jarrad where he did and in fact at every centre Bounce Jarrad started in a certain position on the ground, took Laird an age to man up and then he still wasnt fully manned up.A big thumbs up for the young lad :D
McKenzie on the ball was a move called by our former captian who works for the ABC last week and that worked.
Passador deserved the medal mind you if he had kicked straight he wouldve had 8 or 9 goals on the board.
If is a big word in footy IF we can beat the maggies and win the game after that we are in the same spot we were in last year !! but IF is a big word in footy:shock: .

Lastly our Ruck stocks looked good in the two's ,was a pitty one of them was not able to help Lindsey out , mind you the way Centrals Rucks kept droping marks they were there own worst nightmare !!

I take CedeNullis that you like your team did not learn the lesson from the game against Glenelg for most of that game ( I was there saw your whole game) your players kept grabbing the player after they marked the ball and gave away so many 25 metres.
This isnt meant to provoke a fight mate just that it stuck out like DOGS well you know what !!

I quite agree this new rule is a lot of bullshit why copy the AFL rules there game is almost stuffed there was quite a few instances in the first three quarters for both sides that the umpires did not pay frees for similar infringements i listened to 5 rph and even the commentators stated they should of been frees under this new rule, to pay that free for touching a players top at such a critical part of the game is an absolute joke very very soft !!!

The signs were there for the Doggies, once we get a few more players back watch out !!!!!!!!

This wonderful game of ours is being turned into Basketball or possibly Gaelic Football they are slowly killing this game off !!!

I reckon Steiny's shoulder was stuffed after 5 minutes of play, and the Iggle boys sure as hell tested it for him lol !!!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Most Afl games on the weekend seemed a lot more lenient on the ruling than the SANFL. Jumpers held and players bumper and no action. I see nothing wrong with a light touch to let them know you are there, but draw the line at dragging/holding players.

I'm willing to bet that by the time the finals come around the umps are being much more lenient on this one than at present. We play for the finals Mickyj.
