Maybe have the game in the evening so people don't have to sit and watch the game in the heat of the day.

Good idea, though whether the lights at Thebarton would be adequate is another story.

Dunno about my gland, but I stand by my statement, we get away with one week in it where most other teams get 2 weeks in a row of it.

I would say the league will do the same as they did last week, bring the games forward to avaoid the peak heat of gthe day...

I think this would mean reserves @ 9.30am and the league to play at 12.30pm ??? 8)

I've seen a beaseball game under lights at Thebby a few years ago and the lighting wasn't the greatest. Might be alright if they were to play it as a twilight game but I think it will played earlier than originally scheduled.

Regardless of what time it is, I will be there for my first game seen for the year, can't wait !!! :D

They were useless at the Anzac game last year - even with them on (the ones that worked, a fair few weren't working) the ground was in virtual darkness for half the last quarter (probably comparable to the end of the Cricket World Cup final).

Excellent news... :supz:

Common sense has prevailed once again, good that the league game will be finished about 2pm , the players just need to make sure they keep their fluids up throughout the course of the game and afterwards. :drinkers:

This is good, get to watch some footy in the "cooler" part of the morning and keep the missus happy by spending the arvo with her !! \:D/

Should be a pretty competitive game, not sure about WWT but hopefully we should have a few more guys coming back in, start winning a few to carry some momentum into round 1 againts Port... :)

Big Phil I would have thought both coaches would not care much about trial games .Mind you it would be nice to see the WWT skipper in the team in the last trial game that WWT play.He could have a few friends join him if WWT are lucky.
Last weeks game finished about 2.30 with a 9 minute stretcher break.

Hey Mickey J,

Yeah I know, coaches are still trying to get their game plan into place and probably still having a look at players in other positions, but with the season proper only a couple of weeks away, they must have in the back of their minds they would like to take a bit of good form, with the best available players out on the park, into round 1. :-k

How is ex Centrals boy Craig Gogall coming along, I dont think I saw him named in the paper last week ? Interesting to see if he will line up againts his "old" club ? 8)
I actually thought it was a shame we lost him and although he left looking for more league opportunities, I would have thought with losing Nathan Grima to the Kangaroos, he might have got more of an opportunity this year ? Anyway, that's in the past, i hope he has a good year with you guys, I reckon he can play, did okay on Chambo (Sturt) in his debut a couple of years ago...

Cant wait to get down there Saturday... \:D/ :supz: \:D/

So what grades were playing last night around 7.30 from West Ad and WWT at Thebby?
