Some very promising signs though for the season ahead. Could very well be a good season. I'm tipping top 8 and improvement of about 2 wins on last years minor round form.

During the telecast they asked Geshen next door on y it wasnt a 9 pointer and he pointed out y. it was only worth 6. You blokes are the biggest bunch of sooks ive heard. Shit you played at home and all. Like my mate Carey said just accept you lost and a better team won. Would never hear it out of you blokes

Every AFL team floods at times during matches, some more than others ..... actually, Centrals do it to, have a closer look this season

Love the "everybody does it" defence.

Two very experienced coaches just lost their jobs IMHO for refusing to implement the tactic at all.

I cant emphasise the "EVERY WEEK" enough Crows fans. Almost every minute of every game infact.

Sad thing is it looks like nothings changing with the "precious" game plan this year Gollums.
Centrals 16.11 107 North 5.12 42 the dynasty continues .

I'm not a Saint or a Crow but IMO the Crows were bent over by the maggots last night....just a decision here and there mind you but that's all that's needed in a tight contest.

Robert Walls was right about one thing, if it GF was in melb they wouldve got 35-40000 No doubt :)

I dont think another pre season Gf will be at AAMI stadium for a while.

Yeah, in my opinion, they should just hand them out in the rooms after the game. The only good thing about it was the kids handing them out getting to go close up to the players etc.

Does anyone REALLY care about the NAB cup?

I propose that it's the most overrated bit of silverware going around.

Well done the Saints, I think they'll do well this season, and well done the Crows for fighting it out, but realistically there are only about 6 or 8 teams fighting for the trophy, the others are treating like it is, a warm up for the real thing.

The end of the day if the general public does not have the coin to go they won't and cant be expected to attend.Get our facts in order people before making aggogant and pathetic remarks. I'm a huge crows fan and went to the last Pre-season cup final in Adelaide, did not go this time because a/ im saving to move, b/ I planned to go to the Adelaide Cup yonks ago. I just could not plain afford it. Since the last GF a few years intrest rates have gone up risen sharply. Also the Fringe, Adelaide festival, Womadelaide, Adelaide Cup and the Future Music Festival all fall on this weekend, let's not forget it was x-mas 9 weeks ago and Easter in 2 weeks. If people had more money they would have gone, no lack of passionate footy fans, just common sence answers all these questions. If i went by the time I paid for petrol, car park, game ticket, food and drink I would be $60-70 out of pocket. Also they are right,if its played in Melbourne they would get more (No shit,it has 3.5 x the population of Adelaide)
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Oh when the Saints come 'MARCH'ing in.

Something does not add up
I will post my assumptions which may or may not be accurate

AC was offered $500,000 to play this game in Melbourne ???
The average Melbourne crowds in 6 Melb finals since 2000 is
6 finals
276790 attended
average final = 46131
that equates to about 20,000 more than the $26,000 AC V SK [low becoz of heat ?]

This final if in Victoria
$20,000 extra in Melbourne ???[despite SK V AC so not a heavy supporter base in Melb ?]
20,000 x $30 admission [if the same admission ?..if it was $30 ??] = $600,000 extra revenue ?

600,000
less
500,000 offered to Crows = $100,000 extra

If thats the case $100,000 is chicken feet to the AFL multi million conglomerate
I have not allowed for catering, bar takings, corporate sponsors etc however

Please someone provide the real breakdown as if I am nearly right it is perplexing

I agree with ya mate, but if i was a responsible person of a club, the silverware wouldnt be my objective, the $300k + prize money would strive me to put my best side on the park. What club dosnt need it, it either pays a season for one of your top 5 listed players or helps towards the developement of 5 of your kids.
Mickey Mouse cup it is, but if i had a 1 in 15 chance of winning $300k, id buy a ticket :D

Given that the game was played in the evening/night, guernsey colour should not matter. Lighter colours are cooler to wear because they reflect more of the visible wavelengths incident upon them. However since there was no significantly radiating source - the sun had set, and the power of the incident light from the towers simply doesn't compare to direct daylight - neither light nor dark colours have anything to reflect. The temperature was solely due to ambient heat and would thus affect light or dark colours equally.
