Well i wouldn't call Craig Balme spitting at Tim Evans before the 84 GF brutality but it certainly wasn't a great thing for Norwood supporters to be proud of. Likewise some of John Wynnes's carry on, then look at McIntosh and his cheap shots, too bad he couldn't restrain himself in the 97 finals series, might have actually played in a premiership that year. And that well known Norwood coach, Neil Balme, he was certainly an angel himself wasn't he.

I said Port Adelaide discovered it and introduced it as a winning technique first in the SANFL, in the 50s and 60s, not that no-one later descended to their level and matched it to meet them on equal terms! Neil Kerley caught on fast and used the same technique with West and then Glenelg.

Remember Grave Danger in the later era you referred to - Wynne was at CHF to cope with him and keep him busy, and away from the smaller players!
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!

So players such as John Cahill and Dave Boyd (a Magarey Medallist) had no skill?

A franchise, Jims Mowing is a franchise, how can you call AFL clubs franchises?

Can you please explain to me what a 'franchise' is and then detail for me how the Port Footy club fits into your 'franchise' definition.
I eagerly await your response.......

Franchise clubs do not hold their own AFL licence. Port, like the Crows licence is owned by the SANFL. Which means all SANFL clubs gets a % of what profit Port(if any) & Crows make.

I thought all AFL clubs were registered buisnesses, if this is true how can they be a franchise i ask, a franchise is a person or buisness who has been given the opportunity or right to promote and sell another buisnesses product(s).
Just because the SANFL owns the license, dosnt make them a franchise, more like the SANFL is the CEO of their buisness........
I thought the profits are paid to the SANFL for reasons (1) To keep the game alive every year, sponsorships are minimal and not as lucerative any more (2) Rent on the use of AAMI stadium (3) The development of junior footballers in which the AFL clubs could eventually get their money back for.
Im sure there are many more
