And how was it that Port got FP built ? Bet you wish you built a smaller stadium if it was all about Port. Go and check you records , when footy parkm was built and the 10 years prior to that and few after it the most dominant side in AUSTRALIA was not port .......it was ...????

A new club, are you delusional? Got 37 premierships under the Port Adelaide FC enterprise, 36 SANFL, 1 AFL, where the friggen hell is your club, trust me know where near that.......... Must really hurt that at the end of the 60's, both Port and Sturt had won at least 5 consecutive flags within the last 15 years, yet one club went on with it in the next 30 years, whilst another club failed abysmally, demonstrated by a heap of wooden spoons in a row.

Here here, tradition cant be bought, has to be earnt and as for Sturt and the Centrals alike they either have alot of work to do or win the lotto tonight, either way keep trying so-calleds

A new club, are you delusional? Got 37 premierships under the Port Adelaide FC enterprise, 36 SANFL, 1 AFL, where the friggen hell is your club, trust me know where near that.......... Not talking about 10 years before it was built, talking about the era that is was built in, who was the 'dominate side 'then, you check your records....

No Im not ........but you may be !!! Go and speak to your port mate Rucci , he will tell you ( and you should know ?? ) that when the GREEN team went into the AFL a new team was born in the sanfl .............your team. Ya know thats why they call them the Port Magpies . As far as spoons go , no side will ever survive like Sturt did again. Too many spoons in a row is crap but no side will match it. Jeez you blokes nearly fell over in 83 and ya missed the 5 !!

Buzz I would have thought Sturt have tradition , they have been around over 100 years , thats just a mindless ,dumb comment. Centrals have been in the last 8 GF , they have tradition , another stupid comment. The side that doesnt have as much tradition than any other club in the SANFL is ................oh , the new club , thats your club , PortAdelaide Magpies . What was that about Footy Park again ?

You are lost mate, i will send you directions to the Port Adelaide MAGPIES website or better yet give you the address to THEIR club rooms, there you will see both tradition, history and success on display from over the past lets say, 138 years, as far as my 'stupid'comments go on Centrals, good luck to them, they are following what my club have been doing for years, winning gf's, not yours and collecting wood

Yep, the Port Magpies have been around a hell of a lot longer than the Powder.
I too was under the wrong impressin that the Port Adelaide Football Club (ie Power) were the one with all the history but if you check the legal documents its not too hard to work out.
The PAFC changed their name legally to the PAMFC, hence why new contracts weren't required for the players who played for the Magpies in 96 who continued on in 97.
The players who went from the Magpies DID require a new contract as they were playing for a completely new entity who adopted the PAFC name after the Magpies gave it up.
The PAMFC (formerly PAFC) have won umpteen premierships.
The current day PAFC (ie power) have won one.
It's not rocket science but I wont hold it against anyone for being wrong as I was myself in the past.

Don't worry about legal documents, we all know who Port Magpies are & their premiership history.
PAFC est 1870s won 36 flags, you can't change that.
Wedgie you are right, the Power have 1 flag not 37 like alot of their supporters think.
I'm sick of all these Power Supporters using the PAMFC tradition, when the talk of success comes up.
The Power have little history.

Port's success in the SANFL in the 1950s and 60s was based on discovering brutality before anyone else in SA, systematically reducing the opposition to 17 men in the days before interchanges existed. A great sporting achievement.

Sturt's on the other hand was bought with skill.

What wright havn't i got Malleebull?
Coz i'm an Eagle supporter, doesn't make me any less important than a so called wharfie.
The past doesn't concern me in relation to Torrens or Woodville, we are one club the Woodville West Torrens F/C.
I don't count Torrens premierships yesteryear, in our current era like the power people of today do from the magpies.
When was your last flag Mallee?
Ours was 2yrs ago!
