Yes will be out there. The mighty goats have a few injuries so anyone could get a game this week.

was a good game, the titians were 9 points ahead at half time. The goats made a good comeback and could have won the game but do believe we have a game plan to beat them. The titians had both gowans and callinan from centrals playing. Onkas this year are a good side what time is your game we have Na fiana at 6:45. and they lost to flinders in a massive upset.

Re: gaelic footy 2008
Thats a decent effort. Least you'll get another crack at them in the final.
We play at 8 so must be the game after......altho punctuality doesnt seem to be high on the list of priorities out there so it will be probably be closer to 9.
Think we might even have a full strength team tomorrow night so hopefully we can cause an upset.

well good luck with the game. They got some tall lads up forward who are solid and there defence is annoying always holding and pinching. they must have been to the Craig kelly school of defending.

Onkas pumped Western Ireland in 9-a-side last night, in what was a bit of an upset.
Western Ireland only had 9 out there, and Onkas had a full bench - Gino got there just before the game and couldn't play cos there was too many. Onkas have struggled to get full numbers each week for their 13's team, but they get more guys out to 9's which is weird. It explains how they've been so up and down this year.
Any big games on this weekend lads?

yes did hear that happened on wed night. Western Ireland had a few ring ins and have less then full strength side. Is only 9 a side the real comp is the state league. This week we play the former power house of Na fiana. should be a ok game.

Re: gaelic footy 2008
We (St Brendans) managed to get over the line by 3 pts over Na fianna 2 weeks ago. Fortunately we have been able to recruit some more Morphett Vale footy players over the past 2 weeks so we should ok for the rest of the season.
Irish Australians were a real surprise last week!! How long have then been a good side?

Re: gaelic footy 2008
think we might have you guys in 2 weeks - hopefully we might be a bit more of an opposition then what we have been in the past.
We have flinders tonight so that should be a win. think we will struggle to make top 4 tho - forfeited the first round against onkss which will cost us. Can see it being another W/Ireland / Titans final. Onka's are good going forward but struggle at the back.

had a very easy win. they only had 12 players. we only had 12 after 3 early injuries. Not a good day to play on the long weekend.

Re: gaelic footy 2008
Anyone out there got any more information on why the Titans were kicked out of the Gaelic State League? It got some publicity on the KG and Cornesy show and also a brief write up in the Sunday Mail. It says something about writing some dodgey comments on their mysapce page, as im a Facebook fan i ive no idea how to sue Myspace, must have been some pretty bad stuff to warrant such a punishment?

Re: gaelic footy 2008
well the website explains a bit.... Congrats to Shenanigans btw
Thursday 7th February: Shenanigans win 9-a-Side Grand Final
On Tuesday night, Shenanigans, after 5 years in the 9-a-side comp, won its first Gaelic Football Grand Final. They called on their entire squad used throughout the season and had a full bench, whilst their opponents, Western Ireland, did not have the same luxury.
It was a very fast running game from both sides with Shenanigans able to get closer to the goalmouth and sink some valuable goals. Western Ireland, on the other hand had difficulty breaking through Shenanigans last line of defence and countered it with accurate long range kicking over the bar and kept in touch with their points.
In the final stages of the game, Western Ireland clawed their way back and were unlucky not to take the lead, due to some fantastic saves from the Shenanigans goalkeeper.
Final scores: Shenanigans 7.10 (31) def Western Ireland 4.17 (29).
In the post-match medal presentations, Shenanigans were asked to consider taking a step up next season and compete in the State League.
Congratulations to Ken Fay for Refereeing his first Grand Final; and to Western Ireland Full Back, Jon Floreani and his wife Kia on the birth of their daughter earlier in the day.
Thursday 7th February: Titans GFC Expelled from Association
Most of our members would be aware that the Titans GFC was expelled from the Association recently in very controversial circumstances. Without going into too much detail, some misconceptions and misinformation needs to be cleared up for the benefit of all teams and members of the Association, the media, and especially for Titans GFC players.
At the centre of the controversy was a Titans MySpace website which contained no less than 40 offensive, derogatory and defamatory comments directed at the Association, players, officials, teams, deceased members, and the game of Gaelic Football itself. There was also a Titans PowerPoint presentation which was aired at a function, used Association documents, and was stored on Association equipment. It too, contained extremely offensive and distasteful material.
Many of the Titans club members and leadership group were aware of these items.
The Association recognises that many Titans players played no part in the development of these items and may wish to continue to play Gaelic Football. Individual Titans players are able to apply to the Association for membership with another club in order to play in State teams and to play next season. They are also able to re-form new teams and apply to the Association for membership to play in next year's competitions.
Readmission for players and teams is not automatic, and may be conditional upon players and teams being committed to the positive values and ethos of the association
