Sturt v North player swap

Postby Blue Boy » Thu Jan 17, 2008 9:01 pm

With the latest news that Josh Cubillo may be swapping clubs to the Double Blues I believe this will make us even more bitter rivals for 2008 !!!

We share the same amount of premierships and recently we have been sharin some players - But I must admit that we have had the better end of the deal.

North to Sturt

M. Soderstrom
S. Tasker
C. Thredgold
B. Atkinson
D. Squire
T. Gum
I. Perrie - not sure to count that one or not

Sturt to North

J.Viney
S.Sutherland
S .Gatto
T. Kaesler
It is what it is !!!

Ahem you didn't recruit these two from North....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Mick Nunan via Norwood. :D

And don't forget Adrian Burton, crikey, he was hopeless. :?

BTW on the original post, I con't consider Sturt bitter rivals.
Don't get me wrong, love beating them but Sturt are well down the list as far as threats go so we haven't rated them that high in recent years.
I can see you guys having the opposite opinion with our comebacks against you guys, that must hurt.

we have certainly had the better run with player swaps and i agree with wedgie, while there is a bit of a rivarly developing, it doesnt give me much satisfaction beating north as much as port, dogs or the legs.

north are like the bays and eagles, not really bothered by them, just hanging around like a bad smell

Shouldn't that read back to Sturt. He left Sturt for us at the end of 1981.

Exactly how Dogs supporters feel when we play North. Then again, Jars can play Krieg on Callinan any time he wants !

I think SFC supplied NAFC more captains though. Three in the last 15 years or so, correct?
My child is growing up without SANFL footy. It gives me the double blues.
