I hope you're just refering to the 2nd part of this statement being funny, and not the fight .

Why?

Anyway, it was barely a fight - hence ' ' around the word fight.
But it was the security guys doing their Keystone Cops impersonation that had me giggling.

Salopek right on the boundary fence infront of the scoreboard at the bay, PAMFC/Power fans leaning over the fence absolutely giving it to him "sell out" etc etc.....duely slots the goal to seal the game for the bays and gives teh fans the old Hulk Hogan hand on the ear!

CDFC fans do have a different definition of fight I guess.
'People are not stupid. They know when they are being conned. And two reserves teams operating in a League competition will reduce it to a farce, a competition without a soul.'

Nah, she actually belted him with the brolley at Alberton.

McDermott jumped up ready to go the biff but calmed himself (or was he just stunned?) when he saw ol' Mavis giving it to him.

I'm sure it was just friendly advice.

Apparently, the same thing happened to Rick Davies on the grand final victory lap in '76.

Be wary of Nana's wearing black-and-white scarves and wielding umbrellas...

Your not wrong there, I had one thrown at me like a spear by a PAM granny when I was about 7 or 8.

We won one of our very few games at Alberton, and I had the cheek to be singing the club song apparently

ive got a funny granny story from alberton too, it was 2000, sturt were just about to beat port for the first time in 17 years at alberton. I had my own footy that day and after the game dad rang and said it was a close game and to race down for the last bit. so as I get there, i run up to the gate on the outer side when a granny sees me with my sturt scarfe on so she runs over to the gate and tries to shut it on me, i pulled the gate from her grip and ran inside, all the while she was cursing like a sailor at me, probably coz of the sturt scarfe. She freaked out when I ran past her as she thought I was going to thump her one but just told her to 'fk off granny'. As I raced off to see the game, she started up again with the abuse...classic!!!

got to love em, bless their swampy feral soul!!!

Gee, who hasn't got a little old "lady" story from Alberton...

One old dear smacked me over the head when I was a trainer for the Bays because I had the temerity to criticise a decision given agaisnt us - the opposition...

Her mode of attack was highly appropriate and reflective of the team she supported - from behind...

And whoa if you ever stood infront of the monochromed wrinkly heads (i.e doing your job running water but staying off the field - out of the play) - did you ever get a mouthful - a mouthful that would make Kevin Bloody Wilson blush....

Ahhhhh, Port supporters living proof we have evolved from the Apes...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

So Andrew Symonds is a Port supporter? I hope the karaoke bar by the airport (Harbourtown Sing) uses that in his defence...
