Is he actually any (Thur)good?

Postby pipers » Tue Jan 15, 2008 3:26 pm

Hereafter to be known as "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer"

Any Hawthorn people out there care to provide an assessment on this kid?

Bad hair - in line with that, rather than bestow him with Hooker's 'one bourbon, one scotch and one beer', how about we call him "get a real job".

I was impressed with him the few games I saw.
Early on in his career he put himself in positions he probably shouldn't have.
Disposal was questionable from what I recall also.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Gutsy player Fatty- probably too much for someone of his build.

Will be useful if his body stays sound. Poor bloke just cant put on weight (as opposed to most of us  )

He is a player who works really hard and has courage that can not be taught - he will do well @ SANFL if he keeps fit !!!

Will really appreciate the slightly smaller bodies that he will encounter in the SANFL. Personally I liked him when he was at Hawthorn, but he just didnt have the skills/size to play AFL football. His courage and application will never be questioned.

Interesting To Watch At Norlunga

At 190 cm and 77 kg, Josh could blow away on one of those windy days down south

Played some very good games for Box Hill in the last couple of years.

He just cant put weight on,

Skills are not great but he really is a tough nut for someone that size, his effort will never be questioned, he just could not stand up to the bigger bodies at AFL level.

I think he will be a very good recruit for Port.

Looking for him to make an impact this season, what we needed, more ball carrying ability.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Still yet to sing the club song at league level. Played 13 games with Hawthorn over three seasons ... for 13 losses.

No-one's blaming him though.
