6) Byron Pickett (Port)
7) Stephen Bailey (West) (go to the sanfl stats of Bailey, won a b&f under collins at box hill)
8) Rory O'Brien (North)
9) Shane Neaves (West) (Collins was a huge wrap on this lad, some sources say he is better than Lenny Clarke giving us two quality ruckman)
10) Todd Grima (Glenelg)

The wraps on ex Melb ruckman Shane Neaves are huge

Do you really believe the West recruiting gurus have snapped up 5 of the top 9.

Yes & one of the Coburg kids is suppose to be the quickest whoite footballer in australia, Collins has been watching the afl / vfl players and knows them back to front, in a glory season at Box Hill Bailey was the B&F and goes very well under collins

Look out Centrals

Have a look at Centrals, Eagles, North and Sturt they generally only recruit a few players but those that they get are generally quality.

Centrals, Eagles, North and Sturt haven't won the last 3 spoons and didn't have 3 of their 4 grades win the spoon last year.
And it's a lot easier to recruit quality players when you're a top club than when you're stone motherless.
That said we did beat a couple of clubs to at least 2 of our recruits.

Glenelg "won" spoon after spoon and selectively recruited in order to improve.

Since Glenelg's last spoon they've finished 8th, 7th, 8th, 6th and 5th. If that's what selective recruiting brings you I'm happy with the way we've gone.

Well it's not our fault if other clubs haven't heard of players like Nathan Brown.

We had to do something, Westies had a lot of players last year that were not up to league standard...The club had to recruit heavily and bring in some quality players. Some of the 24 are unknowns but Andy Collins is no dummy and is putting a side together that will hopefully be competitve this year and to build on for coming years..Also 2 of the 24 are from the AFL mini draft.

Turn it up.

Couldn't get a kick @ WBU.

Looked disinterested when selected.

Lacked a yard.

Maybe a good SANFL player, but destroy??????

Port supporters have been screaming for some 'Port Adelaide' type players to brought into the side, and well, Choppy is by far one of the most 'Port Adelaide' type players going around.

Then you go and recruit Josh Thurgood

Thurgood didn't do jack with Hawthorn, but apparently at VFL level, was actually very good and hard at it. That's from the grapevine though, so dont take my word for it.

Did very well at Werribee. Does not lack a yard, he's bloody quick but maybe the aerobic capacity for AFL. Injuries did not help either.

He loves Centrals and is my tip for the Magarey.

Yeah totally agree about Cameron, was good mates with him back in the high school days and have kept in contact recently. He really struggled to settle into life in Melbourne, has no family there all back in SA, WA and NT.

While at the W.Bulldogs he played every single position on the ground that wasn't for KPP. Roy Laird has giving Camo the confidence that he will be used in the midfield with bursts up forward all year long. He certainly doesn't lack pace at training recently he beat Slade in a 100 metre sprint by around nine metres, thats moving. He will comfortable be in the top 5 quickest players in the SANFL this year.

Expect a huge year from him, he feels back at home with all his mates and family around him, barring injuries im hugely confident he will finish in our top 5 for the B&F
