Had a bit to do with him in the 80s and we certainly werent wankers but needed someone to push a talented group thru with encouaragement and not to be belittled. He had a great side in the mid eighties to early 90s but he had a lot of good young players coming thru who he didnt nurture and get the best out of thus by the time the jarmans moved on and the tillers, clisbys, bennetts etc retired the cupboard was empty and north took a giant slide. i think he had something to do with this yes he did take north places early in his career but how did he leave the club?

He left North in 1992, we won the premiership in 1991 and came 4th in 1992.
Wasn't his fault probably the 3 worst appointments of coaches came after him.
And as far as him bringing juniors through, well I think the fact that juniors that came through the club under him won magareys in 1993, 1996, 1997X2, 1999 and 2000 is well above any other coach of his time in that era.
North had a very good side in the mid 90s, and a side very capable of winning a premiership.
North didn't even go close to taking a giant slide.
Its only when Nunan's influence and juniors had worn off the club, ie 2003 when the club made a giant slide.

Yep and Mick was the only reason that AU choked in the two previous years too.
He's probably just saving them the embarassment this year by doing the state a favour in bringing it on earlier than normal.

All part of my master plan Dutchy, Im good mates with Mick and got him to infiltrate every AFL except for Geelong in 2007.
If it wasn't for Mick the Kangas might have only lost that first final by 15 goals!

I'll get onto Boris Bewick for ya Dutchy and make sure all the bikes at the Kangeroos are dispensed with forthwith....

MAte when low-impact work is required to stress the central cardio-respiratory system to maintain aerobic power bikes are an excellent modality (controlled range of motion, low stress and controlled environment). This is especially so when players are injured and the rehabilitation phase has commenced and you want to minimise the stress placed on the injured part of the body....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I have a mate whose father is heavily involved in cycling and if you believe them the bikes are one of the best ways to build endurance and fitness. I have done a little bit of riding in my time and also got a few mates right into it and the resulting soft-tissue injuries from me or anyone I know from cycling are basically nil. The main injuries from cycling are from stacks. Compare that to all the injuries that come from running (me included, even my road running these days causes lower back pain - never had 1 injury from riding tho).

I freely admit I am no sports scientist but the images of guys on bikes seem to get blown right out of proportion IMO.
In between signatures .....
