Andy #24, is there something you're not understanding?
Missing chromosome perhaps?
Kilburn BBQ fried too many of your brain cells?

North Adelaide have roots with Medindie, which neighbours the suburb of North Adelaide- Leaping Lindner could give a blow by blow description of this.

Sorry mate I don't understand, I play for Blair Athol.

Pysber pointed out the bleeding obvious, if this was actually a serious topic then I would worry about my own brain cells first. The thing that really convinced me the topic was a joke was you calling it philosophical, ha.

It's all marketing claptrap, all clubs sprout something stupid at some point.

Like Carlton, calling themselves a football club (about time I got in first SJABC  ).

True, but you and I both know that support for the Crows outnumbers Port and those 2 teams combined totally outnumber the other 14 clubs by miles. AND their support is State wide not tied to any 1 region except for Alberton way.

Its a wanky slogan no dispute but altho the huge support in all SA for the Crows gets up some people's noses, its still a reality.

Maybe "the team for South Australians" would be half ok, its the ALL SOUTH AUSTRALIANS bit that annoys most people i think.

Good points boys.

I was more alluding to the fact that they are called "Adelaide Crows". This is because as MW alerted to - they are the team for ALL South Australians.

This being a politically correct and philisophical argument as Punk stated, then wouldn't the the name "Adelaide Crows" be discounting the other 98% of land that make up the state therefore not including ALL South Australians?

BTW I am a Port (AFL ONLY) supporter - just to aleviate any confusion...

I like the name Adelaide Crows they identify themselves with Adelaide. If you look at it Only North Melbourne, Carlton, Melbourne, Geelong, Fremantle, are the only teams that really train and are based in their local area's.

I understand what Punky is saying, if they want to be called Adelaide Cows they should be based in Adelaide for their clubrooms. Just like Glenelg and Norwood are.

Now Im confused as I always thought the Glenelg Football Club were based in Glenelg East, not Glenelg.
I must have missed the news that they'd moved across to the other side of Brighton Road? :?

So Norths proposed move to Adelaide Oval is actually designed to locate them in the suburb that reflects their name???

Prospect Roosters anyone???
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hey, I just corrected someone who didn't even know which suburb their team was located in. Unlike some Bays supporters North supporters are well aware of which suburb their home ground is in. Its amazing what an education will do.

The Unley Double Blues.

Have Hawthorn ever actually been based in Hawthorn? I thought they've always been based at Glenferrie.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
