Not officially confirmed but Adrian Wilson to Kilburn and Dylan Pfitzner to Norwood (but there's doubt over his fitness as he apparently has some sort of problem with his knee and also with some blood issues that hamper the repair of his injuries).

Centrals also talking to a ruckman, from Melbourne I think, who's deciding if he's playing for Centrals or another SANFL club.

no $$$$$ = where Norwood finishes on the premiership ladder in recent years

i'd suggest barring vlatko norwood doesn't have a decent forward & therefore they don't kick enough goals because they do get a lot of the ball but they do not kick big scores, perhaps spelly can tell us when did norwood last kick 20 goals in a match ?

the bloke (vlatko) kicked about 60 goals this year (2007) so you'd have to say he did his job, so he is the only forward norwood have got (consistently)

Drebin was saying Davis would play for North in 2008 on The Roost so I'm surprised he's finished up with us as he's usually not wrong with these kinds of things. It's good news though for us Redlegs fans with more to come apparently.

Glad that Norwood are back in the game.

Serious comment, Maybe the fact that Davis has signed with Norwood illustrates that Norwood had more room to negotiate compared to North to stay under the the cap, i.e Norwood were in the position to offer more.

Possibly shows that all clubs are under and that the cap is working
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Matt Davis..the same "smokey" virtually taken from Jamestown as an unknown .On Sydneys list for 2 years then the 3rd as a rookie and never played a game or even got close.....Should have stayed playing in the Canberra competition as he barely made the best players list in 3 years with the Swans reserves. No saviour there I'm afraid lads!

Spotted Dawes in photos of Norwood training posted by neums on Redlegs Forum.

Matt Davis could be a good pick up if he can stay fit and on the park and is more likely to force his way into a current Nwd line-up than North's present team. Clearly too Norwood have a lot more room on their payroll plus he and Doyle both have very high monetary tickets on themselves by all accounts given North was allegedly their first choice club. Davis basically priced himself out of Prospect. Still I rate him enough to say that I'm sorry he is not returning to Prosppect so good luck to him at Norwood.

Depends if you're a glass half-full or half-empty kind of guy.

Most of what you say is true, but in fact he spent a total of 4 years at Sydney: the first 3 on the senior list, the last on the rookie. The 'half empty' approach is 'he spent 4 years over there without pressing for senior selection or even dominating the Canberra comp, he must be hopeless'. The 'half full' is 'he's been through the Swans' excellent development and training program for 4 years, having arrived there as a very raw 17 year old from the country, and (after constant injury niggles in his first few years at the club) really started putting it together and getting a few best player nominations in 2007'.

Time will tell. Not a saviour, nor even a guy who would be guaranteed league selection in round 1 (he should have to earn it on the track and in the practice games), but a bloke who has the potential to be a very useful tall running flanker. And that type of player is pretty central to Trevor Hill's coaching strategy.

I have no inside knowledge at all, but when you compare their experience, their position (rucks are at a premium) and the number of clubs competing for their services, I would be very surprised if Matt Davis' contract was anywhere near Stephen Doyle's.
