Hang on....Sturt have no outs for this season but have just signed two of the most expensive recruits who have shopped themselves around to most of the league.....SALARY CAP!

Has it ever occurred to you that during the lean financial times they were no where near the salary cap??? Now I don't know if this was the case but I do know from a former player that the Club was extremely close to going under.

In the pre-salary cap days ie early to mid 1990s no doubt, but in the 2000's surely not.

yes yes, must give you all a round for that. i do wonder though how close perrie and torney did come to signing with the bays if it even did get that close. probably will never know.

I hear ya H31- North were in the same position, & copped the same barbs from jealous supporters of the other teams, as a cover for their own short-comings...
