Any chance of them requesting an urgent meeting with you to try and retain you?

I always hope that people scurry around in the background when I resign, working out how they can retain me but in reality I'm sure they're just glad to see I'm removing myself and thereby saving them the hassle.
4 minutes after I emailed my resignation they called and were all passive aggressive. Decision solidified.

Better man than me.
I would have finished up Tuesday 7th to get paid for the two public holidays! :D
You’re a LOT better than me.
My “notice” will be determined by how many sickies I have remaining :)
I'm always wanting to leave things on good terms, despite what has transpired around me I'll rise above and do the right thing.

Doesn't hurt that the new employer has 4 seats at AO in the MTX Club for the footy and cricket and a box at the Ent Centre for all the basketball and concerts.

Many moons ago, our club and league were sponsored by Worst End. Club did the right thing and had stubbies on ice under the bar of everything but WE. They would have barely washed a dozen pint glasses all night!
