How tall is the tree, any danger to the house if it falls?

Would be close, it would definitely take out my shed. Probably 50 metres tall

I’ve been trying to contact the owner of the property this past week. I’ve been there 25 years and have never raised the issue of what it drops into my yard before as I understand it’s a tree but this time I think it’s becoming more dangerous and the branches are much bigger

Fair enough too. I love trees but unfortunately local govt seem to want to keep every tree no matter the consequences, despite the potential danger. There are plenty of disasters waiting to happen.

A large gum fell across Gorge Rd last year, missing one of my neighbours by literally seconds as she was driving through. Even though it was a massive branch, you would know today what happened as the tree is still massive with plenty of others next to it.

Note: my fav word of today is massive.
Oh there are decent size branches too but I have a deep block of land so clear of the house. Not sure our chickens are happy either, their pen is full of crap
Aren’t they all?

**** gum trees

Our pool although has a roof over it totally full of leaves from every tree in the neighbourhood i reckon, spend an hour cleaning alot of them out, let alone the pathways around the house, strangely enough the large park opposite with about 6 large gum trees doesnt look like there had been any wind

Had a few spots of rain on my run this morning, which may have accounted for the 10000% humidity.

Far out, take care.

Reminds me of the time a million years ago when we were on a tour in Kakadu, when the Kakadu ‘Highway’ was just a dirt road. We were one of 6 couples on a 4 day camping tour with a bloke called Tripod in his troop carrier. When a road train passed us on that road, he would put his troopie in the centre of the dust storm it created.

When I questioned the logic of it, he just calmly said … no-one would be stupid enough to drive the other way through this.

Yes, we survived the trip.

am Bays, you guys are a weird mob.
