Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 7
Bit quiet here. How have numbers and recruiting been? Do teams still train pre-xmas?
Socials of West Croydon, Brahma, Mitchell Park and Hackam look good early!
Is Central United definitely in the Div?

Sean Hee & Josh Pelentsov to Adelaide Lutheran from Eastern Park
Lutheran traditionally go well in 7 so should be around the mark
Assume Hickey is the new coach as both these blokes were ex-pooraka when he was coaching there

Should make their C grade even stronger since thats the team they pick first.

That's FC's baby and she has been touring the world and probably waiting for the final announcement of who is plaing Div 7. The merger was only officially announced last week or so wasn't it?

Shout out to Smithfield for their efforts on social media. They make a real effort to connect with their stakeholders and community. Something pops up pretty much every day whether its a signing, sponsor or shout out. Plus they do their Panther TV. I'm not saying its going to win them a flag but hopefully they can start the climb up the ladder and get a few more wins in 2026.

Who is the team to beat in this Div? Luthies?
Will Hackam finally take the last step and do enough to earn promotion. Pre season numbers look alright and I see the SuperDuperStar Luke ALLAN! Has re-signed for the year
Hard to get a read on some teams. West Croydon have a drag night bingo so not sure how that correlate's to onfield performance….cue some sh@t responses from some posters
- hope their season doesn’t drag

Should be the most even comp in Div 7 for a while i think. I gather Smithfield, Flinders and Mitchell Park will be the bottom three and hard to split the Top 5.

Anyone game enough for a ladder prediction? I thought Mitchell Park actually recruited reasonably well. Do we assume Central United are in this ladder?

Well done for having a crack. It’s a lot of guess work at this time of year.
I agree with Minor Premiers and bottom 2
I have Hackham higher
I have Brahma lower. Zack Graham is a big out for them

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 7
The Crabs (just change back already, no one likes the "blues" or whatever you are these days) have recruited amazingly and with Finn Tierney going around again will be very tough to beat.
Very even year though I reckon, except in the Bs where of course Adelaide Lutheran will no doubt seek to win their 738th meaningless flag. Honestly what they do would surely go against Jesus' teachings. I wasn't baptised so not sure.
West Croydon being spurred on by endless gentrification and great ethnic food will be up there. Hopefully there will be a lack of overdoses on the oval this year so we can start on time.
Brahma may well be on their 8th Divvy 7 rebound and will surely recruit Dazza and Smithy and Gazza all over again. To be honest they're a little scary so I'll say that they're always hard opponents and my account has been hacked by Lachlan Pike who wears #7.
Hackham will be about the same again I reckon albeit they haven't recruited half of Mitchell Parks sloppy seconds this time so might have to train hard.
Smithfield will be tough at home due to new stringent border control and customs laws preventing many from being able to go that far.
Mitchell Park are the best and greatest and will win an undefeated flag. But nah Central United are a well oiled club these days and have finally cleaned the shit off the umpires rooms door handle so will get a lot of favourable decisions at home and are my tip for the flag. Albeit they should be in D6 anyway

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 7
I'll give it a go. This is mostly based on social media info though.
Central United - Good enough last year and should be in D6. Probably should be good enough again. Socials are quiet but I haven't heard of any losses.
West Croydon - Recruited well. Johnston and Rigney are very good pick-ups. I heard a rumour that Woodcock is coming out of retirement as he can see success this year.
Hackam - Around the mark last year and got better as the season went on. Their mids are as good as anyones and they have a nice blend of youth and experience. Haven't lost anyone and added good top end talent. They'll go close.
Luthies - Don't know much about them but everyone else on here seems to think they'll be hard to beat. I can't see any new recruits (although maybe they don't post that stuff) and their side last year got spanked in D6. Do they really focus on B grade flags or is that just banter on here?
Mitchell Park - Recruited well and have some high quality kids. A lot to like about the future there with good people in charge, a young list and new facilities. Big movers in 2026 for me.
Brahma- The other side I dont know much about. Announced lots of signings before xmas but other than Jack Scott not sure how good any are.
Flinders Uni - Good numbers on the track early and the boys are loving what the coach is bringing in his first full year. Depth will be an issue.
Smithfield - Similar to Uni that depth could hurt and they are coming from a long way back. Loving how they are basically rebuilding the club from the ground up. Their work within the community and their socials have been great so hopefully this translated to on field success for the boys.
Should be a great comp!
