No doubt this will turn into a racism complaint
By him saying it's an insult to the entire nation of Pakistan, I think it already has

So he should be pissed off, teams should be fined for doing this, it's a shocking look for cricket, it's not as though he was turtling along, he was striking at over 100.

Bit like getting benched after kicking a goal
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Yeah, these guys get a bit animated and full on. You can't be that great if you're playing BBL, aren't we one of the least highest paying T20 comps getting around?
Why not just send the message out to try hit a boundary every ball, he will either score or get out, which the team is obviously comfortable with either result if they are pulling this stunt

You'd hope so. NZ is well below us though going by their comp.

If serious that comes across as quite a self centred view of himself saying that IMO, mustn't be that upset if he's playing tonight though.

Why? It's a tactic that's going happen more and more in T20 cricket and people watching just have to get used to it.

I just find it wrong. If the batter is truggling then he should try and belt his way out of it, if he gets out then so be it.
I get your line of thinking and appreciate your view and the evolving of the game, it's just a tactic that don't sit right with me.
BBL to introduce 'designated batters' from next season
It's getting further and further away from cricket and more and more into 'entertainment' (using the term loosely).
That's all sport these days isn't it. 50/50 split between pure sport and being entertainment. The American sports probably swing even further to being entertainment with sport on the side.
Soccer maybe one of the few sports that look very similar to what it looked like 30-40 years ago and remains its boring same self
