Would a D6 bye beat a D1R bye?

Imagine the meltdown if there was a bye at D1R level.

Meltdown from who? I think league regs give the league discretion to allow a club one season in a Division with Reserves but not field a Reserves team. This enabled Gaza to compete in D4 in 2024 based on the extraordinary situation they found themselves in. Could never see the league being faced with a similar situation in the higher divisions.

Which is why there would be a meltdown.

Opposing clubs would be ropeable if a club couldn't field a Reserves, especially given that means they also wouldn't have a C grade which would be frowned upon enough.

Easy Fix

C Grade comp would still be 10 teams - would mean one of Uni/G/Grove/TTG etc D Grade would wind up as the 10th Team

Away games get messy as your C Grade would be split and your A Grade would be a stand alone game but your home games would still get 2 games your B Grade get the bye C Grade start at 12:15

Impressive signs on Bridge Rd, looked about 60-70 blokes running around at The Paddocks for Para Hills, great signs at this time of the year.

I realise I'm in the minority on this.. but who cares? I mean good for the Roos.. but really..

I genuinely don't understand the obsession players / clubs have with how much blokes are on the track.. and sometimes it almost feels like a dick measuring contest.

Give me quality over quantity anytime.

Having said that, we've averaged 40 on the track so far - and training the same day as the women + cricket square out of action, it's made it quite tricky managing the numbers on our ground... I couldn't imagine managing 60-70!

To be fair, I don't think his willy would be at it's optimum length on a cold wet wintery night in July.

Good to see buy in from the group, I highly doubt many successful clubs in the past or moving into the future would be having 8 blokes on the track.

If we are not here to measure Roosters, what’s the point of the forum?

Seriously though......yeah it is a very good sign especially for buy in.

As long as its not at the expense of burn out or niggling injuries once the season starts.

Agree with that, just feels sometimes like it's not used as a metric to gauge buy in. :D
