Good bowling and poor batting in the final over.

McAndrew isn't the worst with the bat, should have taken the single.

Warner only faced 51 balls, seems a bit low given he opened and remained not out.

Strikers win!

The delivery that Luke Wood dropped McAndrew was 147.8 kmph by Overton, I found that surprising, didn't know he could bowl that quick.

The Strikers will definitely miss Overton and Wood if the Strikers make the finals. (They will be unavailable due to being selected for England's T20 WC Squad).

I caught a couple overs of it whilst doing some paperwork and he clocked 149 at one stage

Absolute Temu comp, the standard isn’t great and we need to bring it back to 6 states that play each other twice for the duration.

Great that we won but how can Shamsi not be allowed to play after his performance the other night? It’s just not right.

The fielding has been poor from what I’ve seen, too many drop catches from players trying to etch a name for themselves.

Stars should win it with their squad but I feel as though the Scorchers or Hurricanes will by an individual performance

Better chance of a +40 degree day in Antarctica occurring than going back to the 6 team state model.

Cricket Australia are broke and 2 day Test Matches is not going to fill the bank accounts. They have dropped Indoor Cricket completely and just about dumped the National Country Championships.

Private investment from IPL franchises is their only saviour

Yeah, I'm hearing you, the Mace off generated good numbers so they'll be loving that.

We used to be able to attract good players, now we only get Sunday League talent.

Injured

Again, far out

gets injured a lot for a bat.

AE just saw your post.
In fairness to the lad (from a mate who is quite involved at Sturt who told me as I asked the same question), he copped a very nasty hand injury in a Shield game before last year's BBL which ruled him out, only to be compounded by some very average medical treatment by the muppets at SACA (bordering on negligent - the doctor involved has since been sacked) which set him back for pretty much 12 months. Required further surgery in the off season and still had complications going into this season but wanted to play. Struggled for the first part of the season and has only now really come good just before the BBL (he scored a ton v Port Adelaide the week before the comp). It's as if he's been penalised for getting injured.

Went last night and that was a very very ordinary game of cricket, even T20 cricket now seems mechanical/robotic instead of playing with freedom and instinct.

Way too many grade cricketers and of course without the test team, alongside the SA tourney taking all the star OS players, is resulting in what we see now.

Perth & Hobart are good to watch still but it drops away quickly after that.

Post NY the Adelaide Oval used to draw great crowds to Strikers games, last night was a very poor turnout.

TV coverage mentioned about 20,000.

Upper levels of the stands looked sparse

Renegades needed 4 off the last ball to beat the Scorchers and Ollie Peake hit a 6, he made 42* (30). The Renegades were 5/72 chasing 127 so a low scoring game.

Ollie Peake looks a star, good news for him he has at least 10 years before he will get a look in at a higher level!
