Only positive out of all this is Ahmed, shows what true Aussies can do, no matter what your background is.
I see there is a gofundme page created for him, this might blow all donation records out of the water.

So any farmer aswell? Who qualifies as a potential risk without it being racist? Marty Bryant, Dezi Freeman, Gareth Train, I don't disagree with you I just don't know how they can police that now the horse has left the paddock.
FWIW, I don't think anyone capable of performing such an act would care if they had a gun licence or not, anyone can get hold of a gun..........or 6.
Farmers live on farms and need guns,
A palestinian living in a Sydney suburb doesn't need ANY guns!
That's a MASSIVE alert!!
Yeah, they should faark off to Palestine … oh, hang on

Unfortunately there are always going to be loonies, whether they are 5th generation Aussies, recent or descendants of immigrants, identify as religious or not.
I own 30 odd knives and my parents born overseas, should I have a dossier as well?
Do we want a Gestapo or KGB here?
ASIO just need to read your posts on here to know you’re a loonie!
Or look at his avatar.....................at least he isn't pretending to be an animated race car.

I know several people that live in suburban Adelaide and are involved in gun clubs.am Bays wrote:CENTURION wrote:Farmers live on farms and need guns,

As I said before there are over 4 million guns registered legally in Australia and I’d think many of them are by people in suburbia.
I guess we can argue the merits of allowing so many and definitely should be tightening rules so that people don’t own multiple weapons

Same, have friends heavily associated with gun clubs, in fact one is a 2nd generation sporting shooter who has represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games, as their mother did.

Very naive to think this won't be a common first thought across the country given the circumstances.
It's natural to have very strong emotional responses to these things. I understand that and I share the anger and shock. But I can assure you that the naivety and ignorance is not on my part.

Is this his fault? Probably not, but come out and show some anger, heart and say what people are feeling.
He wants to play all sides, which is politics, I get it...but at times like this please give something more...
Hes no leader
My views:
Dutchy's comment - I think Albo has shown the type of leadership needed in the initial stages. The job of a leader in these times is to unite, rather than to divide. He clearly understands the anger.
MT79's comment - I'm not a massive fan of Albo but I think your comment is pretty pathetic, really. I mean, at least set out some concrete steps that you think he should be taking.

I dont think the comment is pathetic. I agree with mt79.
In fact, I wouldn't pi$$ on the vast majority of politicians.

and probably another 4 million amount of illegal firearms and unregistered ones out there.
Recently read that Police are well and truly concerned of the amount of illegal weapons they believe are out there these days

The beauty of living in the democracy that we live in is if you think you can do a better job than the politicians of today are doing you can go and have a crack at it yourself.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Yeah, we voted them in.I don't really get into it much, all good for the enigma of running a country but you're basically taking over a poisonous chalice.
I don't bother sinking the boots in, wasn't a fan of Albo taking over but Scomo was on a hiding to nothing.

I just read someone is blaming the guy in the white shirt for not shooting him dead as it game him the opportunity to get another gun and kill more people and that he was just looking after ”his own kind” FFS

I don’t get:
- the incessant need to immediately blame someone other than the perpetrators for what happened
- the hostile questioning of politicians, police, etc in the aftermath
- the need to grossly invade people’s privacy by filming them whist they are being treated by medics, and the disruption to medics doing their job who have to waste precious time shielding the injured away from the prying eyes of the media
- idiots who go the the scene and abuse mourners

I don't get why people need to do this sort of shit in a place that has nothing to do with what they're shitty about.

Agree, I voted for him, I thought he was going to be an excellent leader.
Who else is there at the same time? Does this allow minority groups to get stronger? Does this make the country better or worse?
Lots of questions
