I was more coming from the angle of how well us regular muppets/nuffies would go doing what Carey did last Test.

I wasn't trying to compare sports noting the idiosyncratic differences between cricket and rounders
I was more coming from the angle of how well us regular muppets/nuffies would go doing what Carey did last Test.

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I read an article about when the top MLB batters pick up the line & speed of the pitches. It is absolutely scary
The pitch is 60 feet and they pick it up around 15 - 18 feet from the plate so they have about 100 milliseconds to react![]()
I cant remember who but there was one batter that could pick it up around 25 feet from the bat
This is why a successful player fails 7 times out of 10!
And, to be pedantic, it's 60 feet, 6 inches

The extra six inches is very important.

Ronnie just also said that Cummins is in for Adelaide and that Boland won’t be rested.locky801 wrote:Just confirmed, Hazelwood out for the rest of the summer
Looks like Neser and Doggett to make way for Cummins and Lyon. Be interesting to see if Khawaja comes straight back in

If that's all you need to do I best have a word with my Mrs tonight.

So he's out of the Ashes, the 150th Anniversary Test on 11th March follows the T20 World Cup and we don't play another Test until September when we head back to South Africa for the first time since the Sandpaper debacle before 4 Tests against the Kiwi's here next summer.
With Hazlewood turning 35 in early January and showing signs of old man injuries, is that it for him?

We are scheduled for 1 test at home against Afghanistan in late July so doubt that goes ahead.
So yeah, September in South Africa and then the sheep fiddlers in 4 tests here over summer before heading to India in January

Poor bloke can never get his body sorted. Might be the end for him at 36.

Re: The Ashes 25/26
Who is going to the Adelaide test? Wednesday start is shitty but we know it is no longer about he public that actually attend.
Im going to give Wed a miss and have Thurs/Fri off and hopefully it gets to Sat. Is the whole Southern stand now members?
