This isn't good really Mali will announce himself as emperor of the state shortly.
Exactly, we're stuck with Captain Photo Opportunity at state level and the bumbling Elmer Fudd impersonator at federal level for quite some time...
Mali works hard, does the bloke ever see his family? He’s always at something

Yep that's a huge problem at the moment.dedja wrote:Gozu wrote:The Libs both state and federally are utterly unelectable.

A government that isn't accountable is not good, neither is an ineffective opposition, but together is a disaster.

Where how what? who's being tapped on the shoulder Farrell? Georganis? Who's going to willingly give the comfort of another term in Canberra? Wong isn't give up her seat in the Senate to a member of the right and Farrel is on the overseas trade gravy train...

Mali is Farrell's protege.

Nah these people are extremely ambitious, family or not. Today Tarzia needs to spend more time with his family, yesterday he didn't.

Well given he comes with the Don's backing the only name there that could possibly keep him out of the big chair is Chalmers.
Given how highly Farrell rates Mali along with being the most popular Premier in the country and it would be killing the Right having to tolerate a lefty like Albo as leader, yes I could see Mali being lined up to replace Albo.
But he would need to get a wriggle on and get over there asap which is why I think after he wins another term here in March he'll look to move by the end of next year.

A blast from the past the only difference being Finnigan was never being viewed as a potential Premier as the Don was grooming Mali to be during the Rann/Weatherill govt.
