Port Douglas again this weekend,
I've booked one of the Coconut Grove apartments with rooftop pool,
Daintree Hotel for lunch on Friday,
The Tin Shed for grog & croc spring rolls for dinner friday night,
Wrasse & Roe for a magnificent seafood dinner on Saturday night,
going to visit a property manager to make enquiries regarding purchasing & renting out a property,
Hopefully will move there in 4 or 5 years from now.
going to be an epic weekend!

The 2026 AFL Season.

Been on the waitlist for about 5 years to upgrade our club memberships.

Got an email earlier in the week to say we have come up for the upgrade.

Kennedy Club members for 2026. Huge range of benefits, including guaranteed tickets to the GF should Hawthorn get there.

Giddy Up!

10 days of island bliss from this coming Tuesday,
5 days on Lembongan,
5 days on Gili Trawangan,
heat & tropical humidity,
bare feet on the hot sand,
shorts & tank top,
beers & cocktails,
sick of this shitful weather & increasing violence in the community.

Last day of work for the year tomorrow.
Family holiday to Japan next week for 4 weeks.. first ever family trip overseas, and really the first extended break I've had from work in 13 years.

Looking forward to having a break from work, not dealing with cricket or football crap, and just being able to completely switch off.

You will enjoy the break, but you will miss you're ever reliable colleague.

I'm not real Christmassy but by Jesus am I looking forward to the 24th, I am absolutely spent and we still have 3 weeks to go.

Our work is madness from about September onwards and I have to make decisions daily on which 30-40% of our customer base am I going to piss off, it gets very taxing and depressing.

I went out Saturday lunch time and one thing led to another I found myself lobbing home at 6am Sunday, it totally threw my momentum out, I've hit a wall since and have done very little exercise since where as I was doing at least 15km per day. Fortunately I reached the weight goal that I set out to achieve and my intermittent fasting has maintained it but I've gotta find the energy and motivation to get back into it as it was great for my mental health.

I have two lots of 4 days off over the break but the way work dies off immediately after Christmas it is like a break anyway.

Apologies for the rant, I just keep myself locked away and count down the days without making anyone else's ears bleed.
