FWIW, I thought David Jones was a new sponsor.

Doesn't bother me the slightest mate, nail hit on head with the David Jones reference.

Who did we pick up in the draft tonight?

Oh, that’s right, Kenny sold our future chasing his own job security.

It looks like last nights draft was a bit of a shambles, if only we could have predicted that.

The happy clappers are out in force

The best ever draft from a South Australian perspective and Port chose not to take part in it. There is no way you can spin this to being a good list management decision.

Just chipping in from a women's football perspective. Our club had a couple of players draftable in the previous year's draft. Port told the girls that they were in the mix and that their strategy was 'go local'. They completely ignored their own advice and went for injured interstate players. One of those players ignored was an Ebert which in our minds would've been a fantastic marketing opportunity but they decided against it.

Ebert played all bar one game for Melbourne this year.

The other girl in this conversation was taken on as a rookie.

I really don't know what's going on at Port. Sth Aust win the 18s championship and Port decide not to participate? Just odd, but yet consistent at the same time.

I feel it was strange by both the SA clubs. The crows at least got Marsh, but maybe an opportunity missed to really load up on some draft picks and get some good SA talent.

Port obviously felt they’d sufficiently clogged their list pre draft

Do people forget we picked up 2 young guys in the MSD? Think it was mentioned at the time on here that we used it as a chance to pick them up prior to the draft. Wonder where Ramm would have gone in this draft.....

The club has said for over 12 months they didn't rate this draft, dunno how that can be seen as 'Happy Clapper'. Could come back to hurt but that's their opinion.

Besides our 1st which was basically traded for Luko, the rest of our picks were traded for next years draft where we have higher priorities.

What? When did you hear any of this? Must have only come out in the last 12 months or so as I hadn't heard any of it!

Maybe this news was lost in the wash created by the historic mid year announcement?

From the outside Port does have to look like a bit of a worry!!

On the slide with a Tassies team coming shortly and compromised drafts.

Pretty much traded out of this draft picks.

Can't buy the MSD excuse either. Wasn't Liddy one who they picked up.....absolutely no way you could convince me anyone would think or have thought you better get Liddy at the expense of probably not getting a Dyson Sharp.
