Angus Anderson to Collingwood
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Wow, that's not great for us and me as a Blues supporter either. But, best of luck to him, he's a good get.Booney wrote:Angus Anderson to Collingwood

It’s definitely a loss for us but we will be fine look at the players that will be coming back from injuries plus getting McEntee.gadj1976 wrote:Wow, that's not great for us and me as a Blues supporter either. But, best of luck to him, he's a good get.Booney wrote:Angus Anderson to Collingwood

Plus a premiership winning U18s pushing some more talent into the senior program.
Sam White won't get drafted and could push for a league spot as an inside mid.

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
We are delighted to announce our fifth new signing of the off-season: former North Adelaide and GWS (VFL) key forward Josh Smith.
Josh, 20, stands at 196cm. He began the 2025 season with North Adelaide, playing six Reserves games before returning home for personal reasons and finishing the year with his hometown club, Newport, in the Western Victoria Football League.
Josh’s ability to compete in the air, take strong contested marks and apply pressure at ground level are key features of his forward craft. He is super fit, strong, a reliable kick for goal, and hungry to contribute to our club’s success.
Football Manager Mark Ross said:
“Smith, at 20 years of age, is still young and will be given time to develop his craft as a key forward. We monitored him closely throughout the 2024 season when he was at GWS, and continued to watch his progression at the Roosters in the early part of 2025. We see Josh as having huge potential and believe he can become a powerful and integral component of our forward line throughout the 2026 season and beyond.”
Please join us in welcoming Josh and his partner Karly to the Ponderosa.

Josh must have listened to Missus StrayDog earlier this year when she told him he should come and play for a decent club.Hazydog wrote:Dogs pick up 20 year old tall forward Josh Smith who spent time at North Adel last season before heading home.. Has played VFL with GWS..

Will Verrall returns to South after three years at Melbourne.
Gives us two genuine league rucks, after years of having our ruck stocks pruned back by AFL recruitment.

Great get, he has a lot of potential. Immediate upgrade on the likes of Freitag, he can play forward tooDOC wrote:Will Verrall returns to South after three years at Melbourne.

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
Whilst we did not have to work hard as he contacted the club before it was announced by Melbourne, two other clubs offered him a lot more but thankfully he has come back to us.wenchbarwer wrote:Great get, he has a lot of potential. A few that have or might happen
Tarek Newchurch is training at the Eagles. Likely signing I would think.
Jacob Collins from South back to Port Lincoln.
Not 100% sure who but a current Glenelg player with AFL experience has apparently signed with an interstate AFL club for their reserves program.
