Totally agree but it only gives off a false reading, you'll end up being exposed in the finals.

3rd time Essendon have played Melbourne in Gather Round.

Back2Back Premier still can't get a game on AO.

Can't find a way to get the reigning B2B premier to play at AO, but we get treated to 2 absolute blockbusters in Carlton v WC and Essendon v Melbourne, over consecutive years.

Excellent.

Crikey :

GIANTS star Josh Kelly will undergo surgery on his right hip next week in the hope of returning to the field in the back half of the 2026 AFL season.

Following thorough consultation it was decided that hip resurfacing surgery is the best course of action for the GIANTS vice-captain as he looks to solve a lingering problem.

“To put it in simple terms he’s having a resurfacing procedure done to his right hip. It involves some prosthesis components that we’ve been deciphering about what the right approach is,” GIANTS Head of Medical Services Andrew Ryan said.

“It’s a big ordeal for him because it’s a bit of an unprecedented area as no AFL player that is currently playing has ever had this procedure.

“His surgery is scheduled for next week, and at a minimum it’ll be six months before he can run so there’ll be a lot of rehab that’ll be going into that integration process.

“Then we get to May/June and then we start a more land-based conditioning program and then see what the timeframe is at from there. It’s at a point where we have all the ducks in a row, it’s just a matter of it being executed next week and then the rehab will start.”

Hip resurfacing is a bone-conserving hip replacement alternative that caps the damaged femoral head with a metal dome instead of removing it, while the acetabulum (socket) is replaced with a metal shell. It is often recommended for younger, more active patients with osteoarthritis, as it can allow for a more natural movement, a greater range of motion, and potentially lower risk of dislocation

I think our average losing margin is about 77 points v Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

This should get Gather round off to an absolute fizzer!

When's that? I had a mate come down from Darwin on the weekend and I've gotta return the favour.

His brother used to play for the Power so he'll be keen.
