Brilliant!.

I wonder how the new ruck rule at centre bounces will affect Harry seeing his strength is sticking his arm out at his opponent. We may have to play a tall at centre bounces and Harry at ruck contests around the ground.

BTW I couldnt log on again the norml way but found a "backdoor" glitch.

It'd be a beautiful day if he lead them to a flag, but if it's a repeat of this year, it'll be Sunday, bloody Sunday all over again.

James Battersby is officially a Rooster

The North Adelaide Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of James Battersby for the 2026 season.

Name: James Battersby
Age: 30
Position: Inside Midfielder

After a decorated career with Sturt, James Battersby makes the move to Prospect Oval to continue his SANFL career. An outstanding leader, James captained Sturt for 6 seasons and will add strength around the contest with his ball winning ability and clean use of the ball. We are looking forward to James joining close mates Alex Spina and Mitch Harvey and assisting our group with his leadership, experience, and knowledge.

His achievements include:

2 x Premiership Player (2016 & 2017)

2 x Best and Fairest (2020 & 2023)

3rd place in the Magarey Medal (2017, 2020 and 2023)

7 x SANFL Advertiser team of the year (Captain in 2024)

218 SANFL Games

“We are thrilled to welcome James to the club and playing group for the 2026 season and beyond. James brings exceptional experience, proven leadership, and an unwavering commitment to success. His influence will be instrumental in guiding our younger players, imparting invaluable knowledge, and enhancing the strength and cohesion of our senior group both on and off the field. We have no doubt James will make an immediate and positive impact on the football club." Senior Coach, Josh Francou

We would like to welcome James to the North Adelaide Football Club, and we look forward to watching him in the red and white in season 2026.

The Central District Football Club would like to welcome the signing of small forward Josh Ralph.

Ralph, 20, played for the AFL Sydney club UTS Bats in 2025. A product of the Sydney Swans Academy, Josh is talented, hardworking, tenacious, and well-skilled. Ralph is well known as one of the better small forwards currently not playing state league football, and we look forward to his football craft being put on show here at the Dogs.

Football Manager Mark Ross said the Club is thrilled to have Josh on board.

“Josh has a high work rate — he tackles with vigour, chases with determination, and fights to keep the ball inside the forward arc. A superb athlete with speed, balance, poise, and high energy, his ability to hit the scoreboard will be something we look forward to seeing. A handful of SANFL clubs enquired about Josh’s plans for 2026, and we’re delighted he’s chosen the Dogs as his new home.”

When asked about joining Central District, Josh said:

“Hey Rossy, I wanted to reach out and tell you that I’m proud to be signing with Centrals and I am looking forward to donning the red, white & blue in 2026. Thank everyone for making me feel so welcome over the last couple of days — the entire club won me and my family over very quickly.”

We wish to welcome Josh and his family to the Ponderosa.
