He's the new Head Coach of Norwood's womans programme

She didn't know for sure (chicken / egg) but I assume he got that appointment so PNU had to find a new Coach and Macca went for / got it

Coaching seniors these days just isn’t that rewarding let’s be honest.

Players in particular expect from the coach a full time effort, and want all the professionalism in the world. Yet they hardly ever give the same in return.

Now that footage is available to view of all games, you need to watch and study your own performance as well as the opposition. Not including all day Saturday, you’d be looking at nothing under 15 hours a week(and that’s been generous if you added up all the time spent texting and calling people)

At the end of the day, you’re at the mercy of how talented your playing group is and how driven they already are.

Am yet to see a coach carter type who can miraculously turn chick 5hit into chicken salad based solely off his coaching influence.

This just tells me that clubs aren't happy with the coaching talent, or lack thereof being presented to them. Is it really that slim pickings out there? I know there's been a few hopping on the merry-go-round this year but surely club expectations aren't that high that they feel the need to get back with the ex (so to speak )

After finishing his junior career in U17's at the club, he moved to play senior footy in the Eyre Peninsula Footy League. He has decided to return for season 2026, after he completes a season for Nightcliffe in Darwin League, to where it all started. He amassed kicking 117 goals in 12 games this past season for Western United in the EP league, with a couple of bags of 20.
Byrons ability as a tall, strong marking, sharp shooting forward will be a welcome addition to our current premiership list.

Absolutely it will, that's if he plays A grade.

Get him for zero points as a former junior, worth a throw at the stumps I guess. Hopefully he's learned not to belt blokes off the ball by now.

Get him for zero points as a former junior, worth a throw at the stumps I guess. Hopefully he's learned not to belt blokes off the ball by now.

Rockin Ronny Redford who has been overseeing the Peninsula since Eve Ate the Apple has huge wraps on this kid and how his development is tracking. Once he adjusts to div 1 he will be a real headache for most opposition teams. As a forward you wouldn't mind some of the supply you would get at Districts either.
