Booney wrote:Mildura FNC is thrilled to welcome SANFL star Luke Reynolds for the 2026 season.
Luke has enjoyed a stellar SANFL career playing 177 games for Glenelg/Port Adelaide and kicking 318 goals.
His accomplishments include:
- 3-time Glenelg Premiership player - 2019, 2023 & 2024
- SA State Team Representative - 2021 & 2024
- SANFL Team of the Year - 2019
At 188cm & 30 years of age, Luke is a strong marking and agile forward. He is a long left foot kick and demonstrates outstanding forward craft both in the air and on the ground.
Luke decided to call time on his SANFL career following the 2025 season to explore other opportunities. We are delighted that he has chosen the Dees to be his new home.
Luke will continue living and working as a school teacher in Adelaide, making the weekly trip to Mildura for games.
Luke's football ability, experience & fine character will be a huge asset to our Club, as we strive to build upon the success of 2025.
We welcome Luke, along with his partner Amanda to the Demons family.
Wonderful news! Go Dees!

Mildura also made a play for Rhett Montgomerie, with an offer that was over that which he would get at sanfl. Monty passed it up.

Westies.
Apparently bonded with Bassett well at Essendon too so I’d imagine he would head back to Westies. Will be a decent player in the SANFL.
Going to be some decent IN’s right across the comp I feel

Big step forward if Westies can get Francis, Lemmey and Burgess. Give Bassett something to work with.

No, but I think we have Boyd and Dittmar signed up plus 3 other quality players on their way already

I've noticed this a little in SANFL circles, young big blokes getting moved on or move on really early, only for clubs to pick up blokes in the mid-20s.

There seems to be bugger all ruck development going on.

Agree with the need for pace in the midfield but in respect to the tall forwards we will lose Dougie for the majority of the season to the underage program and
I’m not really convinced with what Tomkinson can deliver..(Happy to be proven wrong)

I’d also expect we will see the signings announced of another 3-4 players in the coming weeks. Boyd plus 3 others with AFL/VFL experience
