Yet another Pom trying to enter Australia on the wrong Visa....its an Ashes year and October....Border Force will be very interested in anyone entering from the UK on any type of Visa.

I do know of a professional cricketer falling foul of the same issue.....home you go unfortunately

I was watching Border Security on the weekend
A student came back in from Viet Nam - ticked NO on the customs form
Said her English was poor and she didn't undertand the questions (what is she doing studying here then?)

She had 17kgs of food
Considering she was only allowed 22kgs of luggage - I reckon she knew what was in the suitcase and bags
Included a big jar of whole cooked crabs
Dried fish with 7 types of critters crawling throughout them
Various other delicacies - fresh / cooked or containered; most of which she could have bought here

Her fine? $170

I'm no advocate of raising taxes but this is important for our bio-security and plenty of people are still taking the pi$$
How about we get serious and make the fine $5,000 or more for serious breaches
