Clubs are probably more willing this year to trade for what they know based on what they've seen players do in the AFL system than take a punt on late pick in this year's draft when the quality past pick 40 is questionable.

That's not going to sit well with Brod.

Quite frankly this is just untrue. Every club has players who weren't first pick at another club come to them and be important members of the best 22.

Port had a good look at them in the AFL system and still picked them

Josh Kelly likely out for the entirety of the season so it makes sense for GWS to get him.

One of them was us!
Think we offered something like $20m or something stupid

This is just about making Collingwood pay up. No one believes he would ever leave but other clubs wouldnt be doing their job if they didnt make Daicos aware of how much he could get elsewhere. Cant have him playing his whole career at Collingwood on big unders. They already gave the Pies a leg up by letting him get to pick 4

I'm sure his "big unders" are still pretty decent, I couldn't see him having to buy a packet of Coles snags on his off week.

He certainly wouldnt ride the roller coaster us mug punters do, 2min noodles or Steak on a Saturday night :D

The same Torin Baker that was his U18’s coach and who he has a good friendship with?

Undeniably very low but it's not one in all in. Keays and Hinge are two that come to mind that have worked out well for you blokes. I reckon if I spent some time on the other 17 clubs I'd find a couple on most lists.

Josh Kennedy, Ted Richards, Reece Shaw, Marty Mattner, James Jordon, just to name a few "list cloggers" from other clubs. Obviously, an isolated scenario, but someone's trash is someone's treasure.

On the way to work I heard a couple of snippets on the radio

Koch “Butters never came to management to discuss a trade”

Scott Cummings “ Will Brodie should be playing AFL , the knock on him is that he is one paced, no acceleration and he is poor defensively “. Also said “he could have stood naked in the forward pocket and his coach still wouldn’t have noticed him “

Keays & Hinge are now successful.
4 weeks ago they were list cloggers & the crows would never win a flag with them in the starting 22. Apparently
