Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?

There are a number of reasons why charges can be dropped. Unless more information is made public, it would be foolish to draw specific conclusions.

Re: Geelong
The article i read, some witnesses had come forward and she had admitted to them that she lied. I would bet my left nut that there's no way they will charge her with anything. There is no justice or recourse for Bruhn, theres no accountability for the police or for her, he just has to cop it and all the damage it has done to himBum Crack wrote:I understand that, hence why I said "if" but if she did, she should cop it big time.RB wrote:There are a number of reasons why charges can be dropped. Re: Geelong
He has recourse through the civil court if she has lied she should be charged with a minimum of false report and possibly other serious offences and also be made to pay monies for the Police Investigation that was undertaken, however more than likely she will walk away with SFA. Re: Geelong
Should Chris Scott be under more pressure?
I know its a great record to continually be there in the top 4 and participate in a prelim final most years but is that a pass? And most teams would be happy with this but should he have won more flags? One flag in the last 14 years despite that amazing home and away record.
I suspect most of you would love your club to have that record.
Where to for Geelong if they fall out of the 8 next year like most losing Grand Finalists do in recent times

Re: Geelong
Considering half the media write us off each year and don't even think we'll make the 8, he's done a fantastic job to keep us in with a chance. That's how I look at it.daysofourlives wrote:Should Chris Scott be under more pressure?

Too right, probably the only club in the past 20-25 years that didn't need rebuild.Bum Crack wrote:Considering half the media write us off each year and don't even think we'll make the 8, he's done a fantastic job to keep us in with a chance. Re: Geelong
It will be Geelong's turn to try prove history wrong in 2026.
The Cats were blown away in the second half as they suffered a 47-point loss to Brisbane in Saturday's Toyota AFL Grand Final.
With the disappointing performance, Geelong became the 13th team since 2000 to lose a decider by 40 points or more.
And none of the previous 12 have returned to the biggest stage the following year.
This year, Sydney was aiming to defy history after its 10-goal loss to the Lions in the 2024 Grand Final, but the Swans finished 10th to miss finals completely.
That means of the previous 12 teams to be belted in a Grand Final, seven have missed September altogether the following year.
The Swans, in 2015, went the furthest, losing a semi-final a year after their big loss to Hawthorn in the season decider.
That Sydney team is the only one to get beyond the first week of finals the year after a Grand Final belting.
GF losses by 40+ points, since 2000
2024 – Sydney lost by 60 points
2025 – Finished 10th
2022 – Sydney lost by 81 points
