One final hurdle.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Utter scum. Helped to destroy the club and used every dirty trick to stay in the job for life and then when he finally decided to call it quits he takes an eternity to handover and then has the gall to sue the club.
The club should’ve have sued him for fraud!
And now he is one of the chief instigators trying to destabilise the club further behind the scenes.

Per Callum Twomey:
‪Essendon's No.9 draft pick Sullivan Robey will have his training load scaled down, with the club discovering a back concern for the midfielder. He will have his program wound back until the Christmas break after the club found signs of back stress‬

Grew 16cm in a year and has been smashing the weights so not surprised that he is having a few niggles. New fitness team seem to have found it early and put a program in place for him. Hopefully he can get it sorted and still play some good footy during the year

Ridley done a hammy, im shocked, he shouldve got out while he could.
Langford also some kind of awareness.
This is delicious, what a joke of a club, bare minimum is another 600ish days without winning a final.
A new countdown has started, its something like 3000 days since the last Essendon player to win a final for Essendon played a game, that was Jobe Watson.
May the records continue to tumble.

I did read somewhere that Rosa accepted the Hawthorn trade deal but Welsh vetoed it, Is this true @Jim05 .
It doesnt show much faith in your recruiting department if the President is over ruling them

Welsh said right from the get go that Merrett wouldn’t be leaving. I don’t think any offer would’ve been accepted. At most clubs the President and CEO have the final say on trades involving Captains and high profile players.
I would’ve moved him on personally.
As for Ridley yeah I would’ve moved him on too but he changed his mind when the new fitness team was announced. The new guys are apparently rated highly in the industry and are reportedly pushing the players hard. Both Ridley and Langford apparently are at the very low end of the scale and are still training on modified programs.
Don’t think anyone expects a new fitness team to come in and turn it around in 5 minutes

is 22years between winning finals the record? Surely no one else has played that many VFL/AFL seasons and not won a final.

Not even close. South Melbourne last won a final in 1945. The club finally won one, after moving to Sydney, in 1996.

I imagine there'd be plenty of others ahead of Essendon (for now). E.g. Hawthorn didn't qualify for finals until their 32nd season in the VFL.
