Port Adelaide is increasingly hopeful that an application for Dougie Cochrane to join its Next Generation Academy will be approved by the AFL. Yeah boy.

Any reason why they didn't make an application when he was 13?

I read somewhere that he only very recently found out he had indigenous heritage

Interesting to see if the AFL inconsistencies continue... Ryley Sanders - Due to his Indigenous background, he was linked with the North Melbourne Next Generation Academy (NGA), during his final year in the Under 18 competition, although due to AFL rules around NGA’s, his draft rights could only be matched by North Melbourne if he was selected after Pick 40. He would instead be drafted by the Western Bulldogs with Pick 6, after North Melbourne used Pick 2 and 4 on Colby McKercher and Zane Duursma.[2]

Stuart ( their Father ) only began to explore his heritage last year, nothing was in place for Tom to be drafted under those conditions, Dougie may be able to with the AFL set to decide very soon on his eligibility.
Then we wait to see if they change NGA / Father Son bids at next years draft.
If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

4 week anniversary
Does 11 weeks still fit within the definition of ‘not too distant future’?

Given we've waited over 20 years for our second AFL premiership, 11 weeks for an ambiguous announcement is nothing!
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

If I can wait over 11 years for the infamous ABC Running Sheet, 11 weeks is nothing!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Calling them season ending injuries with 2 rounds to go seems a bit dramatic doesnt it... Also is there anyone left from Port who hasn't commented on NAS leaving St Kilda? Kens turn today.

Maybe thinking of the rumour about an elite player sleeping with another players partner that has been refuted

And if originators of unfounded rumours could be identified legal action would be more certain than a crows top four finish...
